Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
Until the end I thought this guy had intended to steal the PCX and decided not to when he found out it was alarmed. Watch to the end and see what he was actually trying to do.

Re: Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
I would give him an "A" for the persistent failed effort, he didn't quite have enough ass to get it back in the center stand.

Re: Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
Lesson learned: never ever go and touch another man's bike or scooter. Even if you know what you're doing. Chances are you just don't know.
My Vespa PX 200 was in someone's way and it was lifted by the front rack onto the side walk to let a car to be parked in its place. The front rack is not stable, it has no screws to hold it in place. It's not a handle. Try lifting up a car from its plastic parts with a jack and you'll see what happens. Something gets broken. It pisses me thinking what these morons are capable of.
By the way, there's a Youtube embedding code tool in the forum software. It's quite handy.

In edit mode, you will see the toolbox above the edit window. Click on 'youtube' button and copy paste the sharing address from the Youtube clip page.
An example: discard this --> http://youtu.be/ <-----; only insert this part --> bF29yhQCxMs.
It will look like this:

Most Youtube videos are allowed to be embedded. The Youtube clip in this case cannot be watched embedded, sorry about that.

Re: Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
My wife has no problem putting her PCX on its centerstand. The trick is to make sure both sides of the center stand are on the ground before doing anything. Then just rock it back from the center of the left side, with your right hand on the left grab bar. Like I said, she can do it easily, and she is only 5 feet tall.
Currently own:

NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Not really. The secret of doing it right is: take your right leg and step firmly on the trigger. It will come up almost with no effort. Hands are only needed to hold it upright while you're at it.

Re: Center Stand Woes - YouTube Clip
Its possible to put a PCX on the centre stand by just standing on the lever.
Not recommended though, the more you use your hand to lift the better.

^ Right foot on the lever, left leg on the ground, naturally. I only use my hands forcibly when lifting my Vespa PX on its center stand. The PX has no lever. With the PX, my right leg holds the left-side stand in place to prevent it from sliding on the ground.
There's a video on Youtube on the subject (Mel was right about the importance of having both center stand feet on the ground evenly). This guy lifts his left leg off the ground, which I never do.
