The on-board PCM module has a rev limiter. I believe that the max RPM limit is 9,600.

Read this thread if you want to learn more about tuning the beast:

The restriction is that it has a pitifully low amount of power

In some ways that is part of its charm

It's not hugely restricted. It's naturally slow

I know this wouln't help you

I've been going through the Performance section and seeing lots of you poo-poo'ing on people's mods. Stop it, or I'll have to prevent you from posting in this forum like I had to prevent GN2.

If people want to mod their PCX for more performance, that's on them. Let them have productive discussions without interfering, please, and encourage their work. It's not your place to offer discouragement.
Currently ride: Nothing right now - mostly mountain biking with my boys until they're old enough to ride

Since Clubpcx is gone now, did anyone happen to copy the tuning section to this forum? I was interested in what it said. I know the PCX has restrictions but it is interesting to read about what people have done to get around the restrictions. I have heard that they actually race these scooters over on the 'far side' of the world. (And to them, we are the far side:-)
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Apparently I failed to remove your permissions.

I'll look into it later. Not willing to mess with it now. ;)

There genuinely is a Procrastination Society.

It's just about to start its 2009 recruitment drive...
