Today in a senior moment I forgot to stop for fuel, just rode straight past the last petrol station with the gauge flashing away like it does every other day.
By the time I realised my mistake I was nearer home and my emergency jerry can than the distance back to the petrol station.
Didn't make it.
125.2 miles and the tank was absolutely bone dry
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
Did that in my car once when I was living in Germany. Roared right by the gas station on the autobahn and no way to turn around. Never made it to my exit and coasted to a stop on the highway. Fortunately, many Germans carried extra gas and I was able to buy some from a passing motorist. NEVER did that again since. I feel your pain.

as everyone has responded before me, one and done. you know you won't do that again. and, you aren't the only one to have done that before, gn2. my tank was DRY when I literally rolled into the gas station. at least WE all know now it's not really 156 miles per tank of gas like the book says!
Today we took a long ride without filling up. When we hit 140 miles the light was having a fit. We thought the scooter would quit any minute but we made it to a gas station at 145 miles and there was a little bit left in the tank still. In fact, it only took 1.27 U.S. gallons. How big are the tanks?
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150 Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs NCY variator, drive face, and rollers
My most so far is 142 & it took 1.29 to re fill. Once it flashes I only push it 5-10 miles. I don't want to run out. I stay close to gas stations during this time.
If the book says 156 miles per tank, that has to be optimal with a certain weight rider on a flat surface, at close to sea level.

did some quick figuring in my head and came up with that number, Mel. actually, the book does not say 156 miles per tank of gas. with my weight, it's more like you said ... 140 miles per tank of gas.
