new 160 today
glad to be back on this forum, I’ve been away for a few years as I moved from a PCX in 2018 to a Yamaha X max so I’ve been over at the ADV site… So I picked up a 160 today and I am very impressed. Everybody asks the question, Why would you go from the xmax back down to a 160, the simple answer is I’m 74 and I wanted a little bit of a lighter bike and it’s a neighborhood bike, I am one bike. amoung the golf carts in the neighborhood… I really like the bike. It does vibrate a little bit more than my X max, especially if you’re holding the Brake at a stoplight, with the variator, you can just let that go and it’s pretty smooth. It’s got plenty of pep, I don’t need to do more than run around the neighborhood at 35-40 miles an hour. I am amazed at how nimble it is, but I probably just forgot what it was like to be on a 160 cc bike as opposed to the X max. I really like the fact that it’s 100 pounds lighter than the X max. The seat is relatively hard, I’ll solve that in the future, with the many solutions that are presented here and other places, I am fabricating a divider right now because the space underneath the seat, it’s hard to put a helmet in there as you jump off the bike because everything slides forward into the spot where you wanna put the helmet… Time for a divider… Love the bike, Honda did a nice job here.

Re: new 160 today
I picked up a 2025 PCX from my local dealer several months ago. I'm right behind you in age and came off a sport bike after decades of riding.
I seriously considered the 2025 XMAX and decided it wasn't for me. Any vehicle that spends a full 1/3 of its Owner's Manual on how to manipulate its electronic gadgets has no appeal to me. For the same reasons you mentioned, I'm really pleased with the PCX.
It's easy to handle and "enough" power to risk short jaunts on the interstate for a few exits if necessary. which I try to avoid if possible.
I'll throw out one word of caution. Any thoughts of adding a windscreen in the near future should probably be delayed. At least until we see one listed in Honda's Accessory offerings. I'm sure the aftermarket will provide one in time. But as of now, I'm skeptical.
Factory reps from 'National Cycle' and 'Revzilla' both assured me National Cycle's windscreen for the 2024 PCX would fit the 2025. It will not.
In all fairness, I suspect Revzilla's rep just referred to an available National Cycle rep, so no fault on them.
I'm in the process of returning the above promised windscreen today.

Re: new 160 today
blacked out my windshield today…. On a bike this small this windshield doesn’t really block any wind so I thought I’d just make it look more like a bullet fairing… Worked out great, used plastidip on the inside, so the
dip is protected and you still have the gloss of the windshield

Re: new 160 today
so today I mounted driving lights on the front forks, using the reflective mounting spot, so easy to do with an add a fuse and run the wire from the battery through the fuel area on the side (out of the tray for safety), and run it straight under the fairing to the front forks. I didn’t have to takeoff a single panel or. bolt, a fiberglass fish “stick” is your best friend. Speaker coax provides extra wire protection.
