It was on an incline and I thought it was stable but it started to fall and I tried to stop it but ended up on top of the bike. Damn! And when I was trying to save it, I wrenched my back.
I'm in Thailand where I save 1000's on the original purchase price and bikes are cheap to get worked on here. A regular service will be under $30.
I took the bike in for an estimate and I need to replace two panel/parts, basically one side of the bike. The estimate came to $120 which I think is amazing. This would have been $500 in the good ole USofA.
BTW, in Thailand, no Honda scooter ever gets a valve adjustment here. It's a complete waste of time and is required only to drive up the price of maintenance. Valves rarely need adjustment. I know it used to be required to maintain the warranty. Don't bother.

My bike fell over and destroyed the taillight and rear quarter. It cost me about $250-300 total.

You got that right [both counts] Have replaced a number of the plastic panels on mine and not too bad if you do it yourself. Bought
the parts through the dealer and shipping was free to the store. As for the valves......absolutely correct. If the scoot is running well,
Don't screw it up!
