i have no luck!
well last night i went to see my girlfriend sing at a local bar, locked my bike up where i always do and enjoyed the evening, except there were some differences last night, the usual sleepy town bar was full of ppl watching football (soccer to all our american friends). they seemed to be in good cheer but the place was really busy and loud, great thing for the bar but not for my poor PCX.
when i left once we had packed up and closed my little bike had been kicked on it's side and was looking a little worse for wear.
i picked it up and dusted it down and then had a look properly this morning. front left (nearside) panel cracked and scratched. front V shaped plastic under the windscreen cracked, nearside mirror scratched and glass popped out, my transmission case i painted and was soooo proud of deeply scratched. and a few other scuffs i should be able to polish out.
on the plus side it looks like my xmas bonus from work should just about cover the repairs
not a happy bunny at all

If it makes you feel any better im not exactly lucky either, im probably going to still be sick on christmas day, ive been violently sick 5 times since half 4 this morning. My whole body aches and i can hardly get out of bed. My throats pulsating aswell from wretching so hard.

Esdain, can't insurance cover it? Do you think someone knocked it over on accident or hit it with a car, or do you think it was intentional? You might be able to see if the bar had cameras where your bike was locked up...

Re: i have no luck!
i have, he says drink water and paracetamol and rest blah blah....
just woke up and feeling a little better now. Might just be the paracetamol working though.
Believe me, insurance isnt worth the hassle over here. Id rather pay for it myself than get insurance involved if it was me.

Oh man that really sucks. Not the way you planned to spend your bonus but thankfully you can get it repaired quickly. Lucky the left panel with pcx ok as that is on undefinite backorder unless you import yourself
Re: i have no luck!
i will take some photos when i get the chance, but it's not massive damage, can hardly tell now i have snapped the panels back in place just a few cracks and scuff. there we're no cameras and it was intentional, a cooking great boot print on one side shows that, it wasn't parked on a road, was on the sidewalk chained to a bicycle post thing.
as for the panels, i work for honda power equipment and will order direct through honda at work, will be sooooo much cheaper than buying from a dealer or independent retailer.

At least you'll be able to get all the parts cheap. That's cool that you work for Honda -- did they get you a discount on the scooter?

Re: i have no luck!
ye i dsid get discount on the scooter, and some accessories too. was a nice deal that i was pleased with, but it's the cheap parts thats the main advantage, which also reminds me i need to order a rear tyre for the next time it needs changing, i am not paying the price the dealer asks
