Had to charge my battery, went flat on me, looks like even with my hot grips turned off power must be being drawn from the battery...will have to get round to fitting a relay to wire both it and a 12V socket to.
Anyway, when installing back the battery I noticed this lead with a red cap on it, didn't open it, but wondered what the hell it is, and if it is possible to tap a relay from it, would be very convenient.
Anyone know what it is and have the wiring diagram for the leads on it?
Thanks

Lead with red cap in Battery Compartment
Is that not the diagnostic socket? I will need to look at my manual.

Re: Lead with red cap in Battery Compartment
I think possibly it is, I have looked at the wiring diagram posted on this forum and it looks like it is listed as the DLC.
If that is the case I notice that the b/w lead from it is also linked to the ignition, however there are two leads from the ignition r/w and b/w which one is the switched live to tap into for a relay? Does anyone know?
If it is the b/w then it seems a suitable place for tapping a relay from it...anyone any ideas?
