I just looked at Honda UK, the 2nd gen Forza 300 and the Forza 350 both have an upswept muffler versus the horizontal muffler of my Canadian 2014.
But the caliper is still tucked in behind it same as before.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
I just saw a FB video of a Thai guy put on a Brembo caliper for rear brake. It's mounted below towards the back of the bike - kind of opposite original. He has the same problem of pads sticking and touching the disk after release, in fact I think he has sintered pads and they make a terrible noise as back wheel rotates....(hence he posted and complaint).
I think the issue is that the back piston does not fully release and keeps the preassure due to Honda Combined Braking System...., it has some kind of a distribution valve on the rear brake fluid system that closes/locks and keeps pressure on the piston, this could be by design or by becoming faulty, on some bikes (can't remember) it was replaced on recall due to leaking. This might be the culprit for sticking pads, not the caliper and not the heat etc.
No, I can't test it and have no proof...!!! Just my theory....
