PCX not starting
PCX suddenly not starting (PCX 150 LED M/Year 2014)
1 Lock unlock and locate on the remote working with blinkers
2 Horn is working
3 No activity on the instrument cluster
4 headlights, Tail drl, blinkers not working when I turn the key ON
5 If I remove the relay(CB1-12V ACB13201) tap on the relay and then start the bike for a split second it comes to life and gone again
Checked the battery and no fault in it its a new battery shows 12.4 !
Please advice on the next steps

Re: PCX not starting
Charge the battery, it might not have enough cranking amps.
I think the headlights only turn on when the engine is on.

Re: PCX not starting
Thought the headlights turn on when the key is fully turned on (just the engine does not crank until lever held in and bike started) - dash should light up and speedo needle go over to the right and back again when ignition key turned on too.
All above from memory - only has the '14 led pcx for six years so could be wrong
Think the side stand makes no odds for above - it just cuts the power to start the engine itself.
I thought the battery off load should measure higher (I know it's 12v but off load it often measures more) - 12.4 seems low. You say a new battery, hmm seems faulty to me or not charging which is off on the PCX as alternator / starter issues seem very rare.

Re: PCX not starting
Just guessing but see if the "kill switch" has been toggled by mistake. See if it's "off" even though it looks in the normal position.
Re: PCX not starting
BTW tested the battery charged the battery the story is same !
what's happening is the lights and numbers on the instrument cluster do not turn on when I turn the scooter ON
BTW this is from Thailand so no ignition switch
Also it doesn't matter if the stand is up or down the instrument panel and lights should work even if the bike is not started up !

Re: PCX not starting
Can you try starting it while having someone else jiggle different areas of the wiring harness to see if there a loose or broken connection - especially around that relay ?

Hello member 5giant, please do us a favor. Add your location to your profile. Remember, Our bikes differ around the globe. Yours has no kill switch, we do. Yours has remote ignition, we don't (our newest models do). You get my drift.
We add our locations to our profiles to help one another solve issues/problems, etc, etc, etc.
Please do the same
See my directions below if you need help adding yours.

I agree. What about the fuses? Have those checked.springer1 wrote:I’m not knowledgeable to troubleshoot but I think this point he made is important5 If I remove the relay(CB1-12V ACB13201) tap on the relay and then start the bike for a split second it comes to life and gone again

You can go forth and spend your $$$ in the right direction to have parts repaired/replaced.
Happy scootering.
