Hey there,
Tried to do a search but "oil" is too common of a word, and "oil weight" only showed me topics about weight. So what type of oil are you all using? About to do my first oil change on my 2014 that's coming up on 6K miles. Thanks in advance!

10w30 or almost anything a store sells, 20w50, 10w40, 0w30, synthetic, semi synthetic, dinosaur, regular, cheap stuff, really expensive stuff, Free stuff, stuff from the bottom of the new barrel but not the old barrel.

Re: Oil Type for 2014 Forza 300?
Thanks for the quick reply. I usually use Castrol Synthetics on all my vehicles, just wanted to make sure there wasn't some special motorcycle/scooter specific oil with some additive I needed to use. I've only owned 30+ year old scoots before this one and oil tech has come a long way since 1984/5 so I figured better safe than sorry! Thanks again!

Car oil is fine, dealer will say its not but since you don't have a wet clutch its fine.
I use dino oil but just a couple of days ago bought Royal Purple ( expensive stuff) for my next change. Life is short got to try new things once a while to avoid boredom.

Absolutely any 10W30 engine oil will be fine.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Shell Advanced Ultra "Scooter" 5w40, in Thailand...
It's the JASO MB version that is recommended for scooters. The JASO MA2 version (10w40), that does not have the word "scooter" is recommended for bikes with wet clutch..
This is 100% synthetic oil. I think Motul has a similar one for scooters...
But Forza has a liquid cooled and a very resilient engine, as Dave says and tried, any oil, even kitchen cooking oil would do fine....! lol - disclaimer applies...haha

My Thai bikes have smelled of fish oil when they were new. Some strange smell.

Probably a red herring.
