Re: Woolleys shiny new car
nah i wouldnt remove the trim, just get it colour coded.
You can get the rear badge and handle removed and smoothed out. Of course you would have to install a boot popper though. And its all way too much effort, expense and insurance hassle that i wont be bothering with. Its just the way i wish it looked
Heres one thats had it done and not just photoshopped by me:

Re: Woolleys shiny new car
Probably the shop manual, the service manual is relatively easy to find. Have you checked to see if there are any torrents out there for it?

Nah not workshop manual, just the owners manual that comes with the car. I've looked on my usual torrent sites (btjunkie, piratebay, isohunt) with no luck.

Re: Woolleys shiny new car
Hit a pothole a few days ago, UK roads suck so much. Kindly my mechanic fixed it for fre though, just needed to take a few bolts off and re-slide the bumper into place, and screw the bottom side grille back in. I found the grille on my way to work the next day
So, no real harm done. While he was there aswell he changed my bulbs over. Ive got my astra back now, and i had MTEC cosmo blue bulbs, and SMD LED sidelights so i swapped them into the golf. They both give off a crisp white light with a slight hint of blue. I have the same sidelight bulbs in my PCX.
Pics of pothole damage:
Pics of new bulbs - This pic makes the sidelight look slightly bluer than it is, and the headlight look slightly yellower though.
This pic is with the original full beam bulb on aswell, so you can see how yellow the headlights used to look in comparison!:
And this is how they realistically look:
Sidelight bulbs are same as ones on my PCX, still have original headlight bulbs in:

Re: Woolleys shiny new car
your tellin me. It wasnt a main road though, sort of a back country road. Still, shouldnt be there. No real damage done anyway.
Re: Woolleys shiny new car
Thoughts please!
After alot of DVLA paperwork, i finally got my private plate swapped over from the astra. Ive fitted plate holders on the car, because im getting some pressed plates and dont want to drill them. But i dunno whether to get them with or without the GB badge.
These are the plates im getting:
and these are as my car stands now, just with the standard acrylic plates off the astra, with no GB badge (with screw holes in them )
So what do people think, with or without GB badge? I really need to get some of those osram diadem indicator bulbs too...

Re: Woolleys shiny new car
What bullshit. I get no charge for any updates on any of my vehicles.
As for the plates, I like the white plates a lot more than the yellow. I'd go with the white with the GB badge.

White go on front while yellow on back, no option
