Hello from Newfoundland
I am a newbie to this forum, and, as I think is proper I should introduce myself. My name is Brendan and I live on an island off the East Coast of Canada. I own a 2013 PCX150 that I purchased last fall with only 500 kilometers on it. I put another 500 kms on it before the weather got too cold. This is my third scooter, the first was a Yamaha Vino 125, and then a Suzuki Bergman 400. Thanks for admitting me to the group.

Welcome aboard!
So what prompted the switch from the Burgman? Your island is pretty big, and I expect it is a fair distance between places. I love my PCX, but for longer hauls its nice to have a bigger scoot.

On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Re: Hello from Newfoundland
Hi Brendan, thank you for your introduction
We're glad you found us and decided to join in the fun.
So how's the weather been in Newfoundland these days? How many months out of the year can you ride? Here in the U.S. the snow is still falling. Plenty in the Midwest States just today. It's quite surprising for this time of year. Umm, it is Spring after all

Welcome indeed!
I'll bet one of the big reasons for downsizing from the Burg 400 to the PCX was less weight and ease of use.
That said you will find a wealth of information here on how to care and maintain your PCX and what accessories may be a good choice. Lot's of good opinions . . ..

Re: Hello from Newfoundland
Thank you guys. Well I loved the Bergman, due to a bad spine condition the doctor told me to stop riding motorcycles or I could end up paralyzed again, I was for a short time but he fixed me up but told me there is no second chance, plus I'm now over 70 and maybe should take it a little easier, lol. I got the PCX to just run around town. In regards to the weather, we had a rough winter, very cold and lots more wind than usual. My riding season is from about the middle of April until October usually.
