PCX starting problem solved

Post by SillySally »

Hi all, just a quick heads up to any out there that may experience the same problem I had recently.

For some time now starting my PCX has been a pain and required a real squeeze on the brake lever and many attempts on the starter button to get it going. I called into Honda who simply charged up the battery but this didn't solve it.

solved or not?

check side stand engine off switch, clean contact..

adjust rear brake, might be too much slack..
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

I believe the rear brake setting should have nothing to do with starting the bike as that action is purely a switch in the lever assembly and not rear brake action itself.

im not sure either, seems like too loose rear brake settings requires one to squeeze the brake more. but then again, might've nothing to do with the switch in the lever..
