Well, the rain has gone. In its place we now have 30°F temps. Some of the roads have black ice. I think the scooters are safe right where they are.

Makes perfect sense to me. . ..

We did get about 4 inches of wet slushy snow last night. Tons of accidents. The precipitation has since passed and now the winds reign supreme. :o

That said the roads here were cleared and by mid-day I was able to jump on the Zuma for a quick errand. Sun is out and everything is in melt mode. When night falls I'm thinking ice all over the place and more accident reports in the news again. I feel sorry for the people who have to commute in these bad storms.

Sounds like here, about that much as well. Let's hope we get back to more normal temps! Hovering around freezing stinks with precip.

Another beautiful day here although it was probably around 50 degrees this morning when I took the picture, but felt warmer in the weak sunshine. It should get colder from Monday onward and the roads will get salted - might mark the end of my biking season.

That Forza picture is suitable for framing. . .. Great background.

Honda could use it for a brochure pic. The only thing it's missing is the feature descriptions and MSRP (plus destination) info. :D

Agreed - I would LOVE to get my hands on a next gen Forza 300! That said, I had oodles of fun yesterday cruising around on my Elite 110 - until I noticed I suffered some scratches on the lower left fairing from some road debris :(

rode 23 miles but the roads were wet plus the local road department threw gravel on the roads so i had to take the x max since it has abs and traction control. Went to a local parking lot and practiced figure8s and cone weaves

Raining and getting cold here as well. On one of my commutes some 2 weeks ago (around 2°C and raining with lots of wind) I felt my front wheel being shifted lateral while driving on a straight road. Additionally while gently braking I had some sliding action on the front wheel. I don't know if it was some kind of oily thing (my commute is through an industrial port area with lots of heavy traffic) or simply lower temperatures plus fallen leaves but I decided to swap my front tire Michelin City grip with a Heidenau K66. So far I am very pleased with the result.
It seems it has more grip even with all the leaves and cold, wet conditions - no surprise as the tire profile looks like one from an a motocross bike. Probably fuel economy will drop a bit but it's a bargain for more safety.
A bit less agile though; as it seems to want to keep going in a straight line more as the Michelin city grips - but I'll get used to this quite fast. Still a happy PCX rider (thank you heated gloves and heated insoles - yes I am spoiled  ), as long as there is no snow I'll keep on commuting with it, else I have some petrol-fueled iron cage four wheeled (not a 4wd) horse standing by .

Really windy, cloudy, and occasional sprinkles earlier today.

Was able to get out for a bit on the scoot but only did less than 10 miles.

This evening it turned really windy, gusty, and heavy rain. It sounds like a herd of mice running on the roof. . ..

Yes, some deer hunter might mistake a loud ATV bouncing along a trail for a stealthy deer that is standing in the brush...but it does happen. It depends on what the hunter is using for refreshment. 8) ;) ;)

That's because the deer are in church. It is unfair to shoot them while they are in their church-going clothes.  :ugeek:
