Hey there. I have to admit I was only wearing heavyweight denim. But I have knee issues including a large portion of meniscus removed on my left side 17 months ago and the right is not great. Getting old and arthritis sucks!
But they are easy on and off and not even any marks left behind so I'm happy.

JohnL: honestly? If so, that's a plus for when I finally get new knees! My refurbished one was absolutely pain and cold free for 15 months. Unfortunately that is now over.

I am not going to get any bionic parts. When I wear out I am going to ride my pcx up onto an iceberg, build a fire, and wait for a passing Polar Bear...all this from the sunny southern part of the U.S.A. because I don't like cold. !!
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150 Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs NCY variator, drive face, and rollers
Mel: understood. I grew up south of Winnipeg (was never cold there) lived in the desert for 5 years, got bad heart stroke my first summer... I'll take the southern Ontario mild winters anytime .

I decided to do something about my old knees not liking being blasted by air at near freezing temps(as I am 6ft tall).
I have seen a picture of black coroplast being used on ecommoder, but thought of a slightly different way. I used 5mm thick Plexiglas I had sitting around. I then made a cardboard pattern and cut the Plexiglas. Next sanded the edges down some and covered them with electrical tape to protect the bike's finish while attached. I purchased some black vinyl from a sign shop to somewhat match the bike's colour. Unfortunately I didn't have time to mix up some soapy water and do the job bubble free. But I applied the vinyl and overlapped it to the back/bike side. Then used wide scraps to attach the new aero bits on the bottom and top edges. Oh, and I used a wax and grease remover on the bike to promote adhesion. It works great on my occasional rides to Hamilton about an hour and a half ride on back roads.
It's still too early to tell about fuel economy changes. But I'll report back when I have confirmed. My first trip back from Hamilton I fought a 60km/hour headwind so not a good indicator.
