I have seen two scooter riders now in the last two days who for some reason think they are riding a 50cc scooter on a back lot somewhere.
In reality, they were riding 200cc scooters in crowded parking lots and then out into heavy traffic. Both had flip flops on. Both just gunned the engine and cut off cars as they crossed oncoming traffic without looking. Both put their feet down as they turned into a corner. Neither had eye protection of any sort on, and both were adults. One even had a disabled vet license plate on his scooter.
Kids learn from adults. I wonder what they are teaching the young riders!!
Answer: How to die quickly and painfully.

It's always a shock to see people with presumably similar interests act in a way that is totally anathema to oneself, besides putting themselves and others at risk, they have probably tainted the view of several others regarding bikes

They didn't die on that day but I will not be surprised when the day comes in the not too distant future that one of them is involved in a fatal accident.you you wrote:Did they die?
One of them cut a SUV off without even looking as he took off at full speed from a parking lot. Luckily, the driver of the SUV was aware and cautious. He/she stopped just short of hitting the scooter rider, who didn't act like he had even seen the SUV and raced away at a high speed, zooming around slower moving cars and turning corners like he was in a race (with flip flops on).
