Re: Today's Quick Pic
Wow glass windows on your garage door so
your precious can keep an eye on things. You need a barking horn now to keep thieves away.
Seriously PCX150Rider, have you no concern with peeping passer by'ers (<word or not a word?) as in thieves breaking in? Back in the day we grew up with windows on our garage door, but no more

Re: Today's Quick Pic
I spotted this car as I drove by a shop yesterday. So I pulled over, took a Quick Pic. Actually several
Not sure what car it is. Didn't get close enough.
Is this what is known as a Woody? Or does it have to be a wagon?

Re: Today's Quick Pic
Maybe a '40s Chrysler? I remember seeing cars like that around when I was a kid that people were still using as daily drivers. Nice car. . .definitely pic material.
About the garage door. I actually did have a motorcycle stolen on me years ago when it was just a carport. My parents decided after that to have it closed in. No problems ever since.
But I do understand what you are saying. The world is not getting any kinder or gentler it seems. . .what goes around comes around.
A new door is on my "to do" list this year. I did debate about the windows/no windows/translucent windows. All that being said, we have a great police department and the neighborhood is patrolled often. Thanks for mentioning about that though. Shiver me timbers!

Re: Today's Quick Pic
It's the 4th of July and another scorcher. Mid to upper 90's and sticky humid. It was overcast at the start, drizzling at the finish. This is my first ride since surgery. A 35 miler along the waterways. I REALLY Needed This. I missed This!

Thanks kram!
Minutes before the pics were taken above this young doe crossed my path.
She steps out, spots the walker, then springs for the woods.
Now in hiding, I moved on. Women walked faster. Doe waited to make her next move. Beware folks!

The Genuine Buddy is indeed a familiar site in Chicago. The 125 was a blast to ride from what I've read.

Maybe returning from a "Car Show"? Or bringing back a nice Ferrari from the Hamptons now that Summer is almost over and it won't be needed at the seaside estate. . ..

Re: Today's Quick Pic
You're probably right about that! There are lots of Car Shows on L.I. esp in Spring, less in Summer and a lot in the Fall. Love going!
Florida has them year round. Wonder why?
I entered my Cougar one year in a FL show, in the classic category. It was an honor to sit among all that "Muscle Power!" Everytime one started up, my head spun like the exorcist and I grinned like this
I would have traded mine for one of those 60 beauties in a heartbeat! Sigh, No trades offered.
However, I did have 2 prospective buyers approach me. One while I was sitting at a stoplight driving to the Car show (a couple, they followed me in) and another during the show. No, I wasn't parting with Charmin just yet. But....I did let the couple take her for a spin. Getting them out of the car was a chore. They commenced with offers again. I repeated, "Please Get Out."
That was a fun and memorable day/evening.

Re: Today's Quick Pic
There is a shop in our area that will "modernize" you antique muscle car, for a fee. Those who do that want to drive a certain year but would like to have modern disc brakes and suspension. Once this is done the value goes down, but some people really don't care.
I saw a beautiful 1970 Mustang convertible that was updated, and it really looked nice.
Wait! I remember taking pictures! Here you go.

I’ll have the 64/65 next to it please
Re: Today's Quick Pic
I had a 65 convertible with the 289 engine.you you wrote:I’ll have the 64/65 next to it please
In 1973 a highway patrolman made a u-turn and pulled me over in Conn. I think what caught his attention was that I'd just crossed over from Mass., with the top down, and it was snowing!
He wanted to buy it from me.
With the top down, gloves, coat and scarf - the heater worked a treat to keep those up front toasty, at highway speeds.
I reg. put the top down all winter in Mass. going home to Amherst from Springfield.
Great car - stolen twice from work. Found ea. time in Hartford.
You have to leave a convert. unlocked in Springfield to save the top.
I saved a Puerto Rican family from a house fire - then the moms asked how they could repay me.
I asked them to ask their sons to stop stealing my car. They did.
True story.
