So true. I lived in Bennett, CO (just east of Denver) for the last 30 years (moved to Florida in April). The hailstone pictured fell on Bennett. My former next door neighbour rushed home (8 miles) to put cars in the barn and it was dry as a bone - storm went right round them, as they often do!
Hail took out the roof of a mall on the west side of Denver over a year ago, and it only just reopened!
I can't imagine riding along on your scooter when suddenly you are being pelted by those things! I wonder how many motorcycle and scooter riders have been caught in a hail storm. Ouch!

That picture says it is in Sturgis. Isn't that where they have a big big bike gathering each year? I'll bet they were not happy THAT day! ( this year is from August 3rd thru 12th)
