New pcx owner from u.k.
Hi all,
I'm dave from north east u.k..
I have a white 2018 (mk3) 125 which i bought about 2 weeks ago and i'm loving every minute of it
My other bike is a kawasaki versys 650 (2014) so i'm not new to bikes
and I've owned lots of other bike and scooters etc over the years.
Excellent forum. I've been reading just about everything on here for almost a month now and it's been very helpful.
I'll update this post shortly with pics as per forum rules (although it's got no mods)
Thanks
Dave
Not the best pic as it was taken with a broken phone lol but you get the idea lol ...

Actually that pic was taken when I first bought it and I've since fitted a top box. I'll take another pic in a few days when my new givi tall screen arrives.

Re: New pcx owner from u.k.
Having a top box gives you a great platform to apply more lights or reflective materials.
I've kept my PCX stock (except for deer whistles and an added LED light in the under seat stowage area) but do have an old EMGO top box on my sport touring bike and put all kinds of stickers on it.
Oh yeah. . .and welcome!

That is a large shield. Nice to have when the heavens unload with rain and hail.

Re: New pcx owner from u.k.
Just had the large screen added myself. Big improvement in riding comfort and protection from the rain but I'm getting a lot of buffeting and air leakage into the helmet. Modular helmet is noisy both up and down. It's fine at 30mph, but on the 40mph stretches by the coast into a headwind, my motosafe earplugs are completely ineffective and I can't enjoy my sounds. Going to have to have a rethink. The wind is buffeting in from the sides to fill the void behind the screen. Pulls my loose hi-vis top forward flapping as well, which is in my line of sight - so I've ordered something adjustable to fit summer and winter wear snugly. Complicated business, larger screens. Staring with the cheapest option of ear muffs. Then possibly venting the screen lower down (don't think this will have much effect at head height though), then possibly a new helmet. Thinking I should have gone for the mid-sized Givi though to maintain a steady blast of air directly into my head.

Re: New pcx owner from u.k.
Yesterday i was caught in the rain while riding. I have some water repellent on the windshield so the rain dissipated on each side or over my head while I rode. I also had some of that water repellent on my face shield. It was great to have that tall windshield because I didn't feel like I had to pull over just because it was raining.
Once I finished what I had to do at one store I jumped on my bike and moved on to another store. Riding is fun. Sometimes the weather gets in the way. Having a tall windshield helps when the weather turns ugly.
