The light will change...someday

Post by Mel46 »

I pulled up behind this truck this morning. He has his left turn signal on. The light will not change unless you stop on the sensor, which is where I was sitting. ...and yet he continued to inch forward. This is what we contend with every day.

Another prime example of stupidity. . ..

I can understand inching up on a light if you are in the correct approximate position to trip the light sensor but nothing is happening. Sometimes when they paint freshly paved roads they don't always get the lines in the correct spot.

On another note, at those split intersections that don't have traffic lights (like exiting some shopping centers), I really appreciate it when the clown that pulls up next to me goes so far forward that I can't see what's coming in order to make a safe decision to pull out.

Again, no shortage in the supply of stupid people.

Thanks for sharing Mel. 8)

First let me point out that vehicles are suppose to stop BEFORE the pedestrian crosswalk, which the truck obviously did not do.
Then let me say that by the time the light DID change, thanks to my vehicle, that truck was in the intersection blocking one of the lanes.

There is no place that I know of that says that is OK.

No problem, forget about it and move along.

You know, some of these drivers around here are dumber than a bag of rocks. I think this may be one of them.

I have 4 lights which will not change for my scooter ride through town.
One is easily avoided - the other three I just do full stop, give a good look for cars & police - then carry on.
This post was nearly as exciting as watching "Cake Wars" with the Mrs.

I agree about the scooter and the lights. Even the light where I took that picture is not scooter friendly. However, if it is too busy for me to proceed straight then I am allowed to turn right on red after I stop. I then make a u-turn up the street.
