Looks like something from "Outer Space".Here is what the light assembly looked like recently. I had some of the wires and connectors attached temporarily in order to test the unit before cleaning it up for installation. I am waiting for some special connectors that I ordered before wrapping the wiring and reinstalling the assembly.

Re: Spring has sprung!
Well, I am done with the wiring on the headlight assembly, and now I am waiting for two led bulbs for the lower sockets that are suppose to be brighter than the ones I have installed. They should arrive tomorrow. Then I can start to put the bike back together, just in time for Spring.
Here is what the lights look like right now:

Re: Spring has sprung!
Nice job Mel. Did that puddle of sweat on the floor dry yet? Just kidding.
With all due respect for your hard work on the lights I can't help but think of the old Atari Space Invaders game. Now with the digital TVs I'm not sure if you can even hook up one of those old 2600 consoles anymore. Ah. . .those were the days.

Re: Spring has sprung!
Thanks guys
I’m just waiting for the snow to melt so I can get back on the PCX, not being able to use it this week has really brought home what a god send it is. On average my PCX must save me an hour and a quarter on my commute daily.

Re: Spring has sprung!
I see you piled on the insulation wrap so the vibration won't cause any wear on the wires. Well done!So here is what the completed wiring looks like on the light assembly.

This was another good game for the 2600 though. Fog was the worst part.

Re: Spring has sprung!
Well, my bike is back together and looks pretty darn good!
During my reassembly I knew where every screw and bolt went, and that is scary. I got in a hurry toward the end and when it was almost fully assembled I found that I had 2 left over bolts. I went through the reassembly in my head, and within seconds I knew where they belonged. It took me 10 minutes to open it back up, install the bolts, and button it back up. That is a very strange feeling. Thank you maddiedog. You have taught me well.
Oh, and I did change out the bottom led light bulbs for brighter ones than in the picture i previously posted. I also added another row of red LED rear stop lights to the back, plus I added a white led light under the front wheel well area that comes on when I turn on the front strobe lights. I added a white led light under the rear wheel well that comes on when the brake lever is pressed as well... and then there are the front spot lights (4 of them). Hopefully I can be seen at night now. :-)

Hey Mel. . .do you think there's a possibility with all those new light gizmos that people will think you are Law Enforcement and start pulling over to the side of the road when they see you approaching in their mirrors?

Wow! That's some bright lighting! Like the surface of the Sun!!!
It's snowed again here and even the South (normally warmer) end of the UK has returned to the depths of Winter.
