First ride of the season last Sunday

Post by ScottDR »

Hi everyone!

Was a sunny 16C(~60F) here in Southern Ontario so I warmed the PCX up completely around the neighborhood then changed the oil. Then my wife and I jumped on for a nice 90 minute ride. It really hasn't been that long since I was riding(~November 20) but was great to be out!

Looking forward to my first full summer riding it and seeing how many KM's I can rack up. I am sure it will pale in comparison to when I was a lot younger and did 58,000 KM in one short summer on my first street bike (Kawasaki Ninja 250) way back in the late 80's! But I will thoroughly enjoy it.

One goal for this summer is to ride with my wife down to Lake Erie at the mouth of the Niagara river and drive all the way past the falls to Niagara-on-the-Lake (Lake Ontario) and back. Should be a fun and full day :).

Safe and happy riding to all!

When do you plan to do this ride? I have a home on the other side of the river, but spent most of the first 30 years of my life in Southern Ontario (Hamilton mostly). I will be back there for three weeks in June and then the last week of July and the first two of August.

Sounds like a good trip planned!

I've been to the Falls when I was a kid and really enjoyed it. Canadian side is the best view IMHO. Did the Spanish Cable Car back then and the Maid of the Mist too. I think I remember some big clock built on a lawn or garden somewhere also. . .

Hi, not sure but would be great to meet up for it! Keep me posted in your visit when the time is closer.

Thanks!
