Re: New bike clock
It's just an average button type battery, & it was just a little too large to fit in the center, but I actually like where it is.

You do have a lot on your handlebars. You could always not use the bracket, get some double sided tape & stick it anywhere?

My wife and I on the "Hero's Ride"- Aug 24, 2013
Last weekend we embarked on one of the most fun charity rides of the year and for an important cause, the "Hero's Ride". This ride consists of yearly participants ranging from 500-700 riders on all kinds of machines, there is usually only a handful of scooters, but I have done this 4 years...

New bike clock
Anyone wanting a less expensive alternative to the ones featured on "Clocks4Bikes", we got these off Amazon, direct from China for only around 25.00 each with free shipping. They are well made, attached to the handlebars the same way as the aforementioned ones do and take a store bought ba...

Valve check every 5,000 miles??
I know Honda recommends every 2,500 but isn't this overkill? Others I've talked to claim this is more for generating revenue than an engine necessity & some even at 15,000 miles have never actually needed any adjusting after a check. I'm only being charged an extra 70.00 to do it, so not horribl...

Re: Yamaha Tmax
The two people I know that had them got tired of being stranded & towed. I think it was fuel pump issues. They claimed it was getting repaired more than ridden. It was a blast to ride when you could. No surprise that Yamaha only offered it for 2 years. Supposedly they fixed the issues, added 32c...

If I recall right, it makes your headlight like a strobe light to either increase visibility or cause drivers seizures. Not a big fan.

Re: PCX top speed
Fez- I inquired with law enforcement & DOT about the cc requirement & was told 250 & above for all interstates or regional highways that post 65 or higher speed limits. We have some non interstate highways that are 55 & 60 & we are allowed on them. Most cars are doing 75-80 so a ...

Re: PCX top speed
Maybe you're right, but not worth the extra cost for a few more mph. In Ohio, the minimum cc engine size for highway use is 250 so either PCX can't ride there.

Re: Fuel type in us
Using premium is just flushing money, this myth has been debunked many times. Unless you're riding a high performance tuned sport bike like a Ducati, regular 87 is fine.

Re: PCX top speed
The PCX rev limiter is 62 mph so anything added won't increase speed. The cheapest way to go faster is trade for a 150, their limiter is around 73, but ours still won't surpass 65. It does only have 1,000 miles on her?

We've done it 4 years in a row, but usually there are 6-8 scoots. It was unusual for us to be the only ones.

9th Annual "Hero's Ride"- Aug 24, 2013- Fairfield, OH
I love this yearly event that has around 700 bikes participating. A great ride for a great cause, to benefit families of fallen local soldiers. My wife and I were the only scoots and represented the PCX well ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
