Re: How To Remove Radiator Cap

FWIW, the radiator cap on the 2019 PCX is retained by a 10mm hex bolt in the center of the cap. The bolt is captive; use a 10mm socket to remove and install

How To Remove Radiator Cap

It's a 2019 PCX150.
The radiator cap appears to be plastic or has a plastic guard...any information concerning removal would be greatly appreciated. Tried rotating it by hand with no joy...
Thanks,
Jeff

No.
If I want to ride on the freeway I take my Triumph T120.

Funny stuff.
I was gonna suggest dropping it out of the back of a C-130....

Re: Average mpg

2019.
The poor little guy never leaves San Francisco and its attendant traffic, which is why I bought it. So, mid to low 90s mpg. There's not even an easy way to get out of the City on a small scooter.
If I'm gonna go up or down the Pacific Coast Highway I take the Bonneville.

So you're dishonest and you're okay with that. Maybe a little pleased.
Works for me.

Re: How-To VIDEO: Center Stand Removal and Maintenance

I have disconnected and connected many centerstand springs over the years...here's how I do it: With the bike on the side stand and centerstand up, tie a long cord to one of the rear wheel spokes, assuming cast wheels. Run the cord thru and above the hooked end of the spring that lives on the center...

Hondapartshouse.com should have the latch assembly. For my '19 it's under $10.

Re: Riding a slow bike fast

Learned about riding slow bikes fast right after I got my first real motorcycle, a 1964 Honda Sport 50. At 16, I realized that the bike's level of performance was about equal to my riding skills, and so I made all sorts of goofy mistakes, on and off road, without injuring either one of us too badly....

Re: Non starter PCX 125

Personally, I would see if the battery will take a charge, but given the age of the bike and circumstances I would probably just replace it. I just checked- Amazon has a Yuasa to fit my 2019 PCX and I would imagine they would have one to fit yours. I've purchased motorcycle batteries from them befor...

2017 Triumph Bonneville, which I still have. A joy to ride and a joy to look at.

Re: Vaccine mission

Been vaccinated. As far as I'm concerned everyone has a social responsibility to get the shot. Among other things, this is a highly mutagenic virus. The less of it there is out there, the less chance of mutant strains.
And of course I owe it to others not to be a vector.

YMMV

They're nifty, well made scooters, manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries until 1968. If the maker's name sounds familiar, it should....those little bikes were arguably the first Subarus.

Sloppy Oil Change

Well, it's once again time to change the oil in my 2019 PCX150, and this time I thought I would try to do it in such a way that I didn't wind up with oil drooling all over the centerstand, etc.
Does anyone have any tricks that they use for doing a neat job of draining the oil?

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: 2021 pcx pics released

My neighbor up the street has a late '80s Honda Elite that was once red, now faded to a metallic pinkish color. It's sat outside every day since it was built, probably. Definitely an unloved little bike that gets ridden every day and sounds fine. I think I'll keep my '19 PCX for the foreseeable futu...
