Re: Well my lovely PCX is no more. Rear ended at a stop ligh

I'm wondering if the color of our riding jackets have been found to statistically reduce the number of collisions. I have a red Joe Rocket jacket and would never have thought of getting a yellow one, but as I get older I care less about appearance and more about safety. Has color been proven to make...

My rides are basically 35-55 out in the countryside, and I'm always impressed with how this bike performs.

Re: What has been your longest continual ride on the PCX?

Let me know about your longest ride on the PCX and how you liked or disliked it.
Exactly 107 miles, not too awful for a retired guy on medicare. Actually, I feel seriously blessed to be able to ride now.

Re: Oil leak

I wonder if they told you the lack of head gasket just to mollify you. Would the scoot work AT ALL without a head gasket? And wouldn't there be a fair bit of white vapor in the exhaust, since the head gasket is what is supposed to keep the coolant from getting to the combustion chamber? Wouldn't th...

Re: Did your PCX come with tools?

I think I remember seeing some videos of people showing the little tool set that came with their PCX. The only thing that came with my 2016 PCX150 was the helmet strap and a little black case that looks like it should have a tool set in it. I'm guessing the dealership took the tools that came with ...

Re: THE AFTER SHOT!

An aircraft isn't a motorcycle. They inhabit different environments. It is the background which determines how best to enhance or reduce the conspicuity of an object. Which is why UK miltary training aircraft got painted black and why I will always buy a white scooter and wear a white helmet. My bu...

To warm up or not to warm up. . .that is the question: Whether t'is nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune Or to take arms against a sea of troubles And by opposing. . .end them. T'is better to have warmed up and trashed an engine than to have trashed an eng...

Re: Beat 2 crotch rockets tonight up to ...

Is this serous or spoof? My totally stock 1970 Triumph 650 can't hold a candle to a modern sport bike but will hit 55 so much faster than my PCX - seriously, its a silly comparison. Hey I'm not trying to be confrontational, and I love the PCX but 13hp has its limits regardless of the type of transmi...

Re: Finally pulled the plug!

Speaking of lawn mowers, I am glad that Honda thought enough about changing oil on the PCX that they actually put a bottom drain plug in. On my Honda lawn mower they have a recommended schedule for changing the oil, but they don't provide a drain hole in order to drain It! That means that I have to...

Re: 2016 pcx150 warm up question

Funny, I recall seeing a person on here with score marks along his piston skirt and blowby past the oil scrapers. In addition the clear tube at the end of his air box was disgusting and full of oil which I'm sure you know what that means... OK, I know this quote was written a while ago but ....... ...

Re: i hate dirty oiil

After the run in period magnets attract very little and what they do will be caught by the paper filter. The main wearing items are non magnetic. Agreed. o_O Also, these were located prior to the paper media and still captured nothing. Obviously, engine wear is not the same as transmission wear (wi...

Re: i hate dirty oiil

i change my oil like every 5 hundred miles and its always dirty i use mobile one It's supposed to be dirty. That means it's doing its job and keeping all of the crud off of your engine parts. (I'd rather have a clean engine with dirty oil than a sludged & varnished engine with clean oil.) Mobil...

Re: New Honda PCX Electric and Hybrid in 2018!

I'm gonna wait for the technology to mature before jumping the bandwagon. I dunno, I respect people who want to go this way, but I can't see me w/o an engine. Besides, every time I take my PCX out, I swear it's the best thought-out bike for its intended purpose that I've ever rode on. Not saying it...
