Re: How much should I pay for a 2015 PCX 150?

The Canadian dollar is so bad now, without haggling at all you can get a PCX 150 here for $4,065 USD OTD. This time last year it would've been $4,675 USD. Both prices converted from $5,000 CAD.

I hope Honda Canada is not planning a mid model year price adjustment.

Re: Buying a 2015 pcx150

Any advice on the price for a 2015 PCX in Seattle? 2 dealer quoted me $4200 OTD. When will be the best time to buy a PCX? Nice, another Pacific Northwester! Answer, September to right now. In February, interest begins to grow but March and April is when they really start to sell to the point that t...

Re: Have you had the clutch bearing failure yet?

Are an equal percentage of stock and modded PCX's experiencing this? A little concerning that Honda may not have their transmission bearings sorted out yet. One of the bearings in the automatic transmissions for their late 90s to early 2000s cars were susceptible to blowing up, taking the entire tra...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 performance vs previous models

Is it slower just because of the modified drivetrain so the theoretical maximum speed is still 67 MPH? Or did they also lower the rev limit?

Looking at Valiant's Youtube videos, the 2015s are still very capable of cruising at 50 to 60 mph, which is what is the most important to me.

Re: Another new PCX owner

Looks excellent! Great to see another Pacific Northwest PCX owner.

iPhone cameras are excellent. I have a 4S and other than the inadequate low light capability, I'm pretty happy with it. I'll upgrade to a newer iPhone when this one breaks.

Re: coverage for scooter

I'd say at minimum, $1 million third party liability.

Also comprehensive for theft and fire.

Collision on a newer bike, yes. Older bike, maybe not.

Re: How cold will you ride?

I did not know there was a top attachment available for cargo/tent. I will check it out. The taller windshield makes a big difference in riding comfort. Can't say it has negative effects on mileage. Yea when I saw it at the show I thought to myself it was a must have attachment. The list price was ...

Re: Just started scooting.

I drove to Disneyland in July and found traffic to be quite aggressive in heavy traffic, where it would flow at 70mph (beyond what the PCX can do) one minute then come to a dead stop the next. I would take it for a test ride in heavy traffic during your normal commute time to make sure the PCX is co...

Re: How cold will you ride?

Its a Shad SH 37 and I also installed the LED brake light kit for the base plate. It makes a huge difference the the rear breaking visibly. I will check out your thread on the chest mount. Thanks. :D Excellent shots and nice video. I inquired my wife about going on an overnight date together to Vic...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

Wow, beautiful scenery. My wife wants us to backpack in Europe when our boys are at least 10 years old and you just got me thinking, we could rent a couple of bikes and ride across Europe. I'm used to riding at night. Rain is the second most challenging where you have to mind your braking techniques...

Re: Honda 2015 NM4

I sat in one at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show the other day. A bit of blur from my 5 year old snapping the photo and a bit from the smoke effect Honda used as part of the display. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll81/DKazrolla/Scooters/10943766_606861653515_7576978290401770138_n.jpg Neat bike. Re: Buying a 2015 pcx150

There's likely a little room to move. I doubt you'll find any used 2015s. Demos maybe. Search or browse the forums to see how much some others paid. MikeP, you paid for a valve clearance inspection which is recommended at 1000 km / 600 miles as per the owners manual then at every 4000 km 2500 miles ...

Re: The left turn light hates me

I would roll my scooter back and forth over the sensor hoping to find the more sensitive portion. On my bicycle sometimes I would lay it flat on the sensor lol but I'm not doing that with a motor bike. Sometimes I figure a car will come soon to trigger the light. But if all else fails, I'll put the ...

Re: How cold will you ride?

Yea. I don't doubt the advantages of traditional hi-vis vests, they will definitely help in low visibility situations. But anyway this is pretty subjective. We would have to speak to non riders for their opinions on what's easier for them to see. I guess having a bunch of vests is cheaper than havin...

Re: Careful in the wet

I had a similar fall a couple of months ago. Mind those rear brakes, if they lock up then the rear end is just going to want to swing around. I was almost determined I should get a Forza or Burgman 200 for the ABS, but I practiced some hard braking in wet and found that it's just about impossible to...

Re: where can you park a scooter

I am suffering from a particularly painful episode of gout right now that is making it difficult for me to walk and even drive, but being able to twist and go in my scooter is super easy. So yes I understand. Scooters have a lower centre of gravity too which makes them less susceptible to tipping ov...

Re: Headlight Upgrades

HIDs run cooler than halogens, they produce less waste heat. Which is why some method of deicing HID headlights is required whereas halogen lights can melt ice and snow off the lens. With that said, if you're going to run into a situation where the HID bulb touches the headlight lens, you may run in...

I figured if it happens, it happens. That's what I bought comprehensive insurance for. An angle grinder can cut through the best U-Locks and Chains in under a minute so you're not going to stop a determined thief.
