Re: Game On! Last Song Word is Yours

Whitenoise my mom's Wildcat was a dark green metallic fastback. Most of the time it just putted around the local small town and my dad was afraid it would carbon up,so he told my mom to punch it whenever she went to the city. There was a long one mile straight hill outside of town and she would plan...

After decades of being an owner operator trucker know to well about wrench or ride.
Thinking back sometimes I enjoyed the wrenching part more-as long as things were in balance.

Re: PCX Ride from NJ to CA - Part I

Many years ago 1974 a dude travelled across the US and wrote a book- Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance -tried to read it but was a little too heady for me.
Really liked the title though. Inoplanetyanin may you achieve a state of Zen on your journey.

You could ask them for a full checklist of the items they checked before they deliver. Maybe the drive belt was one of those and they gave it a thumbs up.

Re: Trufuel ethanol free gas

Finally ran out my 3 year old fuel today, took it right to the flashing fuel gauge. Not a hiccup. Not recommending anyone to do the same but in the interest of science I proved it can be done.
Fresh tank of gas today and will not wait 3 years to use it.

Re: So I completely screwed up and stripped the oil bolt hou

With all due respect to gn2 he was dealing with a pressurized oil gallery, not so in your case. I know I sound a little goofy suggesting flipping the bike upside down, but the location of the plug makes things difficult, gravity is going to make the process of getting everything clean and oil free dif...

Re: So I completely screwed up and stripped the oil bolt hou

If you can find someone to help you flip the bike upside down like we used to do when we were kids and epoxy the broken parts together with something like JB weld for aluminum, use brake clean and emery cloth first to ensure adhesion, kind of haywire but what the f if it works-great-if not -well it s...
