While my brain tells me it is only plastic, the metallic silver color still makes the bike look more solidly built About the "silver" color, I have not seen it on daylight (only in the semidark basement of a Spanish dealer), but it seems that is a matt gray, more or less, depending on pic...

Well, I would like to know the exact number of PCXs sold in the entire US, as I'm sure that there will be thousands of them, or at least much more than in the Spanish market alone? Just for comparison, Honda sold 3,900 PCXs in Spain in 2012 (I haven't found the number for 2013, but perhaps 300 scoot...

If removing panels with plastic tools and patience is not very difficult, and tabs are in their place after the operation , perhaps it won't be a major hassle, given that this operation will only be needed from time to time

Yes, it is, and it's a really good safety feature

Perhaps in the PCX, which starts so seamlessly, I will try to leave the system engaged, to see if I get used to it...

This is one of the reasons why I always disable the side stand switch in all my motorcycles and scooters... but disabling it means that one must ALWAYS remember to put away (is the term?) the side stand before leaving!

Now, at least, we can begin disassembling the scooter!!!

I have read that they are invaluable when disassembling plastic body panels, as they do not scratch the finish, and allow easy access to the tabs. They are not expensive, and will last forever, if treated with care...
