Where to get replacement VIN sticker near keyhole

Post by romnation »

I had to replace the plastic panel where the VIN sticker is, and it looks like it won't be possible to transfer the sticker from the old panel. Where can I get a new sticker? Is this something the dealer could make for me?

I really doubt it given the specific information on the decal. This would be produced at the factory level. You don't need it since there are other places the vin number is located on PCX but I understand you want it. Have you destroyed the original trying to remove it or is there still a chance to loosen it up with a heat gun? You will find the vin number etched into the steel frame under the seat at the latch area on a 2015 PCX

It should also be on the registration documents for the vehicle - did you get them? As long as the paperwork, reg number and vin inside the seat match, you should be ok.

I think you should at least TRY to get the old one off of the damaged plastic panel. There are various ways to take the old sticker off, and if in doubt, ask a professional, such as your Honda repair shop. There have been others on this forum who have had that same issue and were successful getting the old one off. It took a lot of patience though.
