I would have stopped with the new engine. And, far from replacing the old plastic with new, I would have stripped the machine naked (and am deeply pondering doing this to mine) just for the sake of easier maintenance. As it is my plastic is already so scratched, cracked and patched that it would be an aesthetic uplift for the bike to strip it away and let the bike run the streets in its birthday suit.
Thank you, would interesting to see a naked PCX on the road although where I park I should imagine there be little fingers poking around with the wiring etc.

It would save so much time with working on it though
