New owner's 1st complaint: Horn button placement
The Forza's horn button placement is dangerous.
It is a reach to get to. With my heavy winter gloves, I cant reach it at all!
Looking for ideas on how to swap position of turn-signal switch with horn button.

Re: New owner's 1st complaint: Horn button placement
I agree with you, after one year sometimes I am unable to find it quickly
Re: New owner's 1st complaint: Horn button placement
If you need the horn quickly, chances are you need the brakes first.
Then by the time you've used the brakes there's no point using the horn.
I think the placement is better as it is.
If you're struggling to reach the horn, you would struggle to use the indicators if they were swapped.

Re: New owner's 1st complaint: Horn button placement
I go on a lot of factory demo rides. I did Yamaha, Honda, KTM, Suzuki and Harley this year. I accidentally hit the horn on other bikes sometimes because of the Honda location. I have to look to hit it. I am also dyslexic so I can't remember where it is. I am a 5 foot 6 guy but I guess my hands are bigger.
The horn on the Forza is almost useless anyway. With my helmet on I can barely hear it. I doubt if any playing AC/DC (sorry I am old) in the car would ever hear your horn.

I'm old too, I saw AC/DC at the Glasgow Apollo in 1976

My horn saved my life once (air horns on a KLR650).gn2 wrote:If you need the horn quickly, chances are you need the brakes first.
A truck in front of me was rolling back and had no clue I was there.
Maybe I should complain to Honda about their lack of a reverse gear instead?
For little fingers with no gloves perhaps so.gn2 wrote:I think the placement is better as it is.

Try switching between a PCX and a Silver Wing. The horn/turn signal placement is reversed on the two. But, if that's my worst problem things are okay.
2013 PCX 150 [now an ex-bike, soon to be consigned to the bottom line of the sig]
2013 Silver Wing ABS (Black)
1971 BMW R75/5 (White)
Too many ex-bikes to list, and, besides, who really cares what we used to own?

How about another horn? There are quite a few out there for your bike. Here's one I posted awhile back. It's definitely unique and brings back a little nostalgia. No tears, just smiles

Re: New owner's 1st complaint: Horn button placement
When I switched from the Burgman 400 to the PCX I had the same problem. In fact, several of my bikes had the horn button position where the turn signal switch is on the PCX. It took me awhile but I have gotten use to it now, most of the time. There are times when you don't need the brakes yet but you are watching some driver who may become a problem any moment because their attention is elsewhere, such as when a driver is on his phone and is doing something else, like writing on a piece of paper that they have on their steering wheel. Yes, there are a lot of that type where I live. Heck, when we had our accident in September it was because of a driver who was texting while driving. He looked up just in time to see that traffic had stopped, so he swerved right into the path of an oncoming van. We were right behind him. I don't think a horn would have helped us then, but there are times when that type of driver is beside us and they start to slowly move into our lane because of their inattention.
