This was meant to be!!
My son is holidaying in Phuket next week and by complete coincidence his resort is on the same road as PowerbyPCX.
I was going to place an order online for some YSS Euroshocks and as my son was happy to pick them up, I spoke to Jeremy at the shop and he offered me a great deal if payment was in Baht instead of Euros.
As my son loves the PCx also, he is quite happy to also pick up a chrome radiator cover for me as well.
He may have to leave some of his belongings behind in Phuket to avoid overweight baggage, but I am his Dad. (joke) (well maybe?)

Re: Serendipity (or how lucky can you be)
I hear you. When we travel back to the US our larger bags are typically packed to the limit with stuff for the kids and our clothes get jammed into the carry on cases. The good thing is that when we return to Thailand we fill the large bags with things for ourselves that we can't get there or that are far more expensive there. So it is kind of your situation, but only in reverse.JohnL wrote:He may have to leave some of his belongings behind in Phuket to avoid overweight baggage, but I am his Dad. (joke) (well maybe?)

Re: Serendipity (or how lucky can you be)
My son returned from Thailand last week and it truly was serendipitous (I may have just invented a new word
The resort he stayed at was about 300 metres from the power by pcx shop. (There is a scooter god). He visited there three times and was constantly sending me pics of bling.
He called over yesterday and fitted my new chrome YSS G Euroshocks, plus a chrome radiator cover, chrome rear brake adjuster, chrome oil reservoir cover and chrome transverse handlebar junction (yeah I know it serves no purpose, but it looks shmick
It was a real lesson watching him take my PCX apart without any actual manuals, and we only ended up with one screw over when it was reassembled. He remembers where it goes and will replace it next week.
The shocks make a marked difference to the handling and are great value. Pictures to follow soon, it's raining at present.

Looks good. Glad it worked out for you and your son came to his senses and realized that you brought him into the world, so the least he could do was bring a few parts back for you.
