London Dealers

Post by RedBaron »

Okay, so I've been talking with some Honda dealers and they all quote the OTR £2699 but want to charge £££ for a 29l top box.

Can anyone recommend a good London dealer for both sales and servicing?

Chiswick are probably my 1st choice with Doble 2nd.

Norton Way Letchworth is a bit north of me but would consider

I bought and got my PCX serviced at Chiswick Honda, I've not had any issues with them.

Chiswick Honda get slated if you search google - but I've had no dealing with them otherwise. HGB (where I bought mine) also get slated and a dealer at southgate (north london) seems no better. Doble's were supposed to be good but I only ordered my service manual (UK '15 version) from them. Thing is, as many people do not have servicing done by dealers and with London rip-off prices, they do have much give in OTR pricing.

It is always the way, if people have an issue they tend to make more noise but Chiswick Honda does have 350 reviews and still managed 4.5 stars out of 5. Mine is only the experience I've had with servicing and buying my PCX, soon hopefully to include selling it back to them.

Even told me about the 4000 service intervals on the 2017 model

Chiswick Honda being bad for customer service is also word of mouth from posts on FB PCX/Forza pages - seems they often give very poor service to many people. someone just posted here they got ignored - which is another common complaint about them.

The new '17 Forza seems better than the '15 too - now has electronic ignition and remote operation dead-lock and the mirrors are now reported to be useful (better rear view than previosly). Not sure how the new PCX compares in real-world terms to '15 one just yet (Forza price hiked by near £500 taking it to £4450ish - ouch!

Forza was always £££ but too expensive for a 125

Be better getting an A2 auto license and getting a 300cc

Most bikes will go up due to the weaker pound.

Probably need to go into the dealers with a bit of confidence, haggle and buy.

It's an avericous business and you are just buying a piss ant scooter.

No one is going to be your best friend.

Buy it, enjoy it.

There was me thinking in many countries scooter sales are up, and the big sellers have come to an agreement to raise the prices (not counting Thailand where they will probably be selling for similar prices to old) :)

Well. deposit was put down on Tuesday at Dobles for a Black one. Got my CBT renew this weekend and hopefully will receive the PCX by end of January. Honda all sold out and therefore a delay at present.

I nearly used Dobles years ago. They seemed good tbh.

Dobles do get good reviews, and were very good on the phone and via email discussing the PCX and no trouble getting service manuals from them (they even advised the UK one was in 2 parts - older more comprehensive one and a new LED based supplement). Honda Chiswick answered one email about purchasing a PCX but after that no reply, so I went elsewhere.
