Pillion adjustments?

Post by RideLondon »

Hi all,
I have just got my A1 licence (UK) which means I can now carry a pillion passenger.
I couldn't find anything in the owners manual about adjusting the suspension or pre-load on the rear forks.
Are there any adjustments I can make to my PCX to help with the extra weight of a passenger? Apart from tyre pressures of course.

I don't think the rear shock is adjustable. An aftermarket suspension designed for heavier load is an option though.

You might want to upgrade to a more comfortable seat.
Everything looks better from the inside of a motorcycle helmet...

The stock suspension cannot be adjusted for pillion carry - only aftermarket shocks have preload adjustment options.
However you might want to adjust the headlight once you're riding with a pillion - that can be adjusted behind the headlight as per the owners manual.
