I was playing my guitar this afternoon, practicing for a "bring your gifts" night at church when I discovered something. Before my little wreck in December, I used to naturally play lower on the strings toward bridge side of the sound aperture. Now, my hand naturally goes to the bottom end of the fretboard. I can correct for it, and it doesn't sound bad exactly, but the tone is completely different, more tinny and less open.
Anyone else have a similar, or completely unrelated experience?

My experience is opposite, playing down near the bridge gives a sharper, tinnier, twangy sound to my ears. I tend to pay closer to the fretboard for a more mellow sound. But I started on a classical nylon string guitar, so that's just how I roll.
