Switch for Tank/Seat not working

Post by McGee »

I had my Forza shipped and now while fixing a new Battery I discovered that the Switch to open Tank and Seat is not working.
If I am correct did the Switch move nearly a cm up and down before whereas now its just 2 or 3 mm.
I assume that either Customs or Forwarder managed to break something.
Question: is it an electrical or mechanical switch?
Any Suggestion how to fix it?
I cant even drive it to the Dealership as the Forwarder emptied the Tank completely prior to shipping.
Thank you in advance for suggestions

The tank access flap, left glove box and seat releases are mechanical (cable) in nature but they are locked/unlocked by the ignition switch. The interlock on the key switch is also mechanical and simply blocks movement of the mechanical latches when the key is off.

JIGGLING THE KEY !!!!!
who would have thought of that !!
Thank you, thank you, thank you !!
That made my day.
intermittent pressure of the Switch by jiggling the Key did the Job.
