:D Thank you guys!
I'm down with the flu and looking for classic old vehicles to google.

BTW, the husband has pointed out to me
that neither one of us needs to be riding a shifty
while dodging the local highly-distracted drivers.

The CB550 was extremely boring when compared with the strokers of the time and the SR4/500 was initially an unreliable p.o.s. but evolved into the legendary XT500 and the simply stunning SRX-6.

CB 500 and the 550 were great bikes, especially with a yoshi pipe. Xt500 looked lovely but was underpowered and overweight for a trail bike. SRX-6 was an absolute mess. Stick a four cylinder engine in it and we are back where we started.....

It was not that comfortable, though he put a passenger backrest on it and then attached all of his camping gear which gave him something to lean back on. Still, the shocks were terrible, and after all day on that bike his back really ached.

Perhaps he shouldn't have leant back? We don't over here. It's a motorcycle not a settee

Is it my imagination or is there a resemblance?

Its either your imagination or time to go back to the optician for new spectacles.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Says you

I was wrong about the OP vehicle competing with the BMW scooter.
Honda already has one for that, we just don't see it here in the US.

Surely scooters and off road bikes are completely opposite types of bikes?

Around here the Honda Ruckus is very popular as a dirt bike,
but it doesn't look like they sell them in the UK (and maybe they used to call them the Zoomer there?)

So I suppose they're thinking of upscaling the Ruckus...

Anyway, there are lots of videos of kids enjoying the Ruckus offroad,
but this is a fun one of a guy doing a PBR run in a snow storm..
