I looked at your cl listing map.
You're less than half an inch from the beautiful and warm Pacific!
Buy a bike and some new flip flops and a parrot shirt and smile at your good fortune.(I'm wearing my new genuine made in Hawaii parrot shirt for my morning scooter ride to Tim Horton right now.....and I'm a happy man)(and I'm a 90 min jet ride from the nearest ocean)

Hmm, flipflops on a bike? Might be a bit much :D .

Of course, I was hoping to try one of these out:

The genuine Parrot shirt makes all the difference in your happiness....put the flipflops on a string over your shoulder and pedal down to the surf.....
Jesus loves you.
Not kidding.

Despite what the ad copy says, "protection" and "sandal" are mutually exclusive terms.

Good luck, Valiant!

Its ok to do it for a hobby if that's what floats your boat and you have money to burn
Or just go and burn a triple that amount by trading your existing Pcx for a pittence and buying a Forza or similar...I wish I had that much money to burn... I'd love tmax as Forza would be a downgrade in my case.

Anyone who buys a 125 then decides they need more performance has simply bought the wrong scooter in the first place.
No amount of aftermarket bolt on tat will give a PCX the combination of performance, practicality, reliability and comfort any half decent 300 maxi in standard trim has.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

After giving it a thought, I wouldn't like to get tmax even if I had money to burn, I just couldn't justify changing from a chetah to a elephant..no room in the garage, too heavy, not as nimble and manoeuvrable between traffic. What can I say, I like a pepped up 125..

Nothing wrong with that.
IMO Honda should do a 200cc PCX with ABS.
That would be the dogs doo-dahs.

Oh yeah! that would be sweet! Unfortunately, that's not a market they can cater to, for financial reasons. I get it, but I don't like it.

SOLD!!!

Selling price was $2000. I personally felt I could have gotten $2500 for it if I waited, but class starts in August and I wanted to get used to riding a motorcycle before then. I suspect there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of getting $3000 for it.

Upon reflection, I don't have an issue with modding still, it's just something that ought to be reserved for those with a garage, tools, and plenty of time and money.

For the CB300F, my "mods" will consist of frame sliders and perhaps a bit of Cquartz coating. gn2 will probably rage at that, but everything else will be bone stock. Should the power prove insufficient, I'll be looking at a 2020 CB500F.

o_O The buyer got hell of a deal even if he is just a half decent DIY-er...
Get your new bike as soon as you can and keep on riding.

Well honestly, the actual biker is a small asian woman, and it honestly seems like she and her significant other only recently got on the island with the only other form of transportation being a 50cc moped. She mentioned that she had no intention of riding on the highway, and my honest impression was that a modded PCX would probably be too much power for her.

On the other hand, I've freed up a parking spot and plan to write out a check for the CB300F tomorrow, and hopefully get my butt on that bike by Monday. Might also have a few sleepless nights until I get my hands on an alarm unit and have it installed. I've never had anyone force the cover off other than that little cunt who cut off my saddlebags, but you never know when life picks a perfect time to shit on you.

Rode home on my new CB300F today! Dealership was pretty fast, even if the finance person seemed a little pissy with me for not buying the extended warranty.

Obligatory pictures:

As mentioned, this will be kept bone stock. The "mods" will consist of an audible alarm, frame sliders, and a nice shiny coating of CQuartz(many thanks to Jge64 for introducing this), which is actually quite necessary as my kevlar gear can scuff the gas tank in a mean way.

Really liking the CB300F Valiant. Very nice. ;)
Would you not consider an aftermarket full system exhaust? :)

Very nice bike. Maybe the best value around!
Best photo is directly from the side.
Don't screw with it.....and it will serve you, trouble free for a long time!
Best of luck.

No, it's actually amusing for me to ride around a fast sportbike that's dead silent.

At least, I think it's fast:

Very nice, Valiant! Love the red. Did you get ABS or non-ABS?

ABS is not available in the US. Which is fine with me, I might as well get used to how my bike operates.

"Ride it like you stole it" type Running-In ?
Or you've put 1000 miles on it already?
After market pipes do little more than transfer a couple of bike payments - instead - to a warehouse in Asia, and make folks think that's a teenager under the helmet. Plus they're an irritant to listen to after the novelty wears off.

PS: your 300F makes more sense than the Forza....add a top case, and much easier to work on. Dealer told me the F's were along ways off.....which turned out not to be true - so I came home with a Forza.

Interesting, I thought there was a choice there. It's only available with ABS in Canada. I guess in case we get caught out in a snow storm and a moose suddenly enters the road.
