Yea. I don't doubt the advantages of traditional hi-vis vests, they will definitely help in low visibility situations. But anyway this is pretty subjective. We would have to speak to non riders for their opinions on what's easier for them to see.

I guess having a bunch of vests is cheaper than having a bunch of jackets. ;D

Thanks Steph, I searched from them earlier but I wasn't exactly sure what I was seeing. Is the pinlock simply the method of clipping the insert on?

Well I had to get out today and spread my wings. Went to Victoria, BC and put 245km on the bike. Overall it was mild, about 50 deg F. Hands were so nice and warm with the heated grips I just installed. Bike purred like a kitten at 90-95km/h. I attempted my first YouTube video, used my I Phone 5 in my cell phone holder. Now have to figure how to mount the Go Pro.

Very nice shots. Mounting these cameras is a real challenge with motorcycle shake if you saw my thread on the Mobius. I ended up with a chest mount and sometimes use stabilization software. It's supposed to be 50 F here too and I got the Forza ready to go during the lunch break.

That is a narrow view in the video. You can see the wave effects on the sensor.

Which case do you have on the back with the back rest? SH 37? I have a Givi V47 on the Forza with a rest but want one on the PCX.

Its a Shad SH 37 and I also installed the LED brake light kit for the base plate. It makes a huge difference the the rear breaking visibly. I will check out your thread on the chest mount. Thanks. :D

I think I want to go with a 37 L whether Shad or Givi for the space and I want the back rest as well. I have seen the 30s and they are a bit small.

Excellent shots and nice video. I inquired my wife about going on an overnight date together to Victoria when I get my PCX or other faster scooter and as the days get longer. She was kinda skittish about it. Hwy 17 is 80km/h through the Lower Mainland but we would take the nice scenic coastal roads on the island instead of the 17.

I was looking at SH29, 37, and 40 at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show. They didn't have a 33 available on display but the 37 seemed to be a good size between the two. Have you looked at that top attachment too which enables you to bungee additional cargo on top of the case like a tent? Also, do you find your taller windshield helps much? I would think that any speed loss caused by additional frontal area would be offset by the more detrimental wind buffeting affect on the body.

I did not know there was a top attachment available for cargo/tent. I will check it out. The taller windshield makes a big difference in riding comfort. Can't say it has negative effects on mileage.

Yea when I saw it at the show I thought to myself it was a must have attachment. The list price was only $30 or something, so why not?

109 UKMPG = 2.7 L/100km, yes I definitely think you're good there.

I see about 1-2 mph speed drop with the Givi V47 on my Forza's top speed so the drag effect is minimal after testing it several times with and w/o. Wind gusts on the PCX might be a different issue given the Forza with the top case is about 443 lbs before the driver.

Anyone notice much wind caused movement on the PCX with the 37's?

So what I saw at the show was a specific SH40-CARGO (as opposed to the plain SH40) that comes with an integrated top mount:

http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/shad-sh ... -case.html
http://www.shad.es/en/shad-usa/products ... go/c17r34/

Then there's the universal upper rack that's compatible with the 42 to 50 litre top cases::

http://www.shad.es/en/shad-usa/products ... k/c10r126/

I really thought I saw a part number for an upper rack accessory for each of the smaller units. I should have wrote it down.

There is a pin installed on the visor during the manufacturing process and the pin lock shield fits into it . Red arrow pointing at pin. Acts like a double pane window to prevent fogging. The helmet behind mine has a pin lock too. And the pin is glowing in the sun!

I have put 7700km on my bike so far. Sometimes I ride without the Sh37, but usually with it. I cant say that it makes any difference.

Dkazzed thanks for the links. Going to the Honda dealer tomorrow to see about ordering the rack.

I am looking the Shad over too in that size range. The reviews seem better than the Givi E370 that has some latching issues in lots of comments. It has to be removable though.

That is wide open (87 mph) which I only did for the test. Probably little effect at normal speeds.

Hello on this nice, sunny, winter morning. :)

I made a small round-trip to the lake and back just for fun. An to charge the battery of course.
Sunny, little bit windy, temp like 0+ Celsius. Very nice.

@wojtec_pl that is a great video. Very smooth ride. Is that an adhesive go pro mount?
