5" of snow & very cold temps gave way to 40's today, so took a nice ride. Watch any road areas that have been in deep shadows - to avoid ice..
Then home for a wash & rinse, blow dry with leaf blower and wipe with a soft towel .
I ride only very well-known roads under these conditions. Great to be on a scoot again. 7 days is too long!

Re: 1st ride after snow & a wash
I did a 20 mile circuit today. Visited friends. Let a Harley owner drive my PCX. He had a smile when he returned.
My scooter is black so there is never a need to wash and dry. Fish, you should have thought of that before buying that flashy red model. The black ones are self-cleaning.

Those poor trees with out any leaves. I already miss the green. Fish, How far did you ride and how do you keep your hands warm?

We just bought hand warmers to fit into out mittens. That's if the weather improves.

I had the Oxford Scooter Heated Grips installed on my Forza http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/oxfo ... ated-grips. Including the grips and labor, it came to about $200.Steph wrote:Those poor trees with out any leaves. I already miss the green. Fish, How far did you ride and how do you keep your hands warm?
I rode it yesterday in 40C degree (raining) weather for about 5 miles (without heated gloves, I might add). It worked well in the highest temp. setting.
Next up, planning to have them installed on my PCX125.

@Mortimer - Heated grips do sound tempting. Just don't what to go though the install for them. Could be an option down the road sometime.
