PCX150 repaired exhaust

Post by SirHonkersTheFirst »

So, my Golden Gal started cackling and gargling and spitting at me - knew it was an exhaust problem,

Went to Honda for a quote. $200 to replace the exhaust. Alternative: cheap-o fix for a dollar.

In the pic you can see it's been repaired a few times. I did one additional touchup - cost a dollar.

It looks like you are scraping bottom a lot. No wonder it is wearing out! Maybe you need to create some kind of a metal shield for that area.

The Golden Gal was a recent purchase, bought second hand. I think the previous owner rode it hard, and also the roads in Vietnam can be bumpy at times.

I don't think it would be difficult for you to put a protective plate over that area after fixing the exhaust. Oh, and I have read somewhere on this forum about some owners who are wrapping their exhaust. You could consider that as well.
