What does the Xmax promise as a top speed?

Have seen a YouTube video of indicated 152 kph (94mph)
From my trip today I see no reason to doubt that, 70mph (113kph) was completely effortless with heaps left.
Its definitely faster and more economical than my mk1 Forza 300 was.

I've yet to push mine to the "outter limits" yet but definitely have no problem keeping up with brisk traffic. It's all I need. In fact if you watch the "Missenden Flyer" review he sort of say's the same.

Make sure they put the tool pack containing the shock adjustment spanner wrench up on the underside of the seat. It should also have a screwdriver handle with a Slotted/Phillips head insert and a couple of Allen (Hex Key) wrenches. Mine didn't come with a spark plug wrench. But I don't expect to have to check it for some time. And I have my own socket set.

That said this video, although not in the "King's English", is very detailed on how to remove and check the spark plug. It also shows the tools needed. Subtitles included. Well done by the originator . . ..



The more you ride it the more you will appreciate it and have some good grins.

BTW the rear brake may feel a bit "wooden" at first and the front brake will feel more as expected. Give them the "brake in miles" to get seated. They are most excellent . . ..

Oh yeah . . .. you should be all set.

About another 10K miles before the valves have to be checked.

You're going to be glad you got it.

Simple to pull the "pet carrier" out and get to everything.

When doing the first few "top offs" at the gas station take your time until you get used to it.

One more thing . . ..

Be mindful when you have to cross "grated steel bridges", "crowns" in the middle of the road, or "grooved/unruly pavement".

As I've mentioned here before the suspension sometimes feels like it is negotiating with itself. The front and rear tire sizes are different and being a scooter it will handle somewhat differently than a motorcycle.

So 99% of the time the thing is a pure pleasure . . . just be mindful for the 1% change of handling characteristics that may result from road surface irregularities.

BTW it has a wider turning radius than the PCX (or a Zuma 125) so you'll need more room to complete a "U-Turn".

Well yes, I've never been a big fan of the styling but as time goes by I'm getting more used to it.
The car I have now I thought was utterly hideous at launch, it was very different to anything on the road at the time and to me looked silly.
Love it now though.
Opinions change...... nothing lasts forever
I think the Xmax 300 is the best 300cc scooter on the market right now, which is why I bought it.
