Re: Honda forza 300 fuel pump recall leaks gas after recall
I think most techs are just installing pump and o ring dry and once on its hard to see if the o ring is in proper position due to the dust seal ,hiding the o ring under it , I will find out soon as I get my parts I'm waiting for a new o ring and dust seal from the dealer that did my fuel pump recal...

Re: Honda forza 300 fuel pump recall leaks gas after recall
Mine is back at the dealer for the 3rd time...1st for pump recall, 2nd & 3rd for fuel leak resulting from replacing the fuel pump. On this last leak it took a day for it to show up. The service manual says to always use a new o-ring and dust seal when installing the pump AND to coat both the o-...

Re: Fuel Pump recall replacemeent...caution
SteveP - do you have another dealer near you? Doesn't sound like the one you are with are that good. There is another one, but this is the one I bought the Forza from. If they don't fix it this time I'll do it myself. I've got the service manual and it doesn't look like to bad a job to get to the p...

Re: Fuel Pump recall replacemeent...caution
I took the scooter back in...same day I picked it up and fond the leak when I got home. @ days later I got it back...no leak noticeable under it...they said problem was seal swelling from fuel contact before it was seated. ??? Okay...rode it home...no problem (this time they refilled the tank with f...

Re: Fuel Pump recall replacemeent...caution
From a mechanics perspective, someone who brings a scooter in for areplaement fuel pump with a tank full of fuelisn't goingto be high up on their christmas card list..... That's ok...the mechanics not high on my list either....it would seem easy for him to use the pump (or a separate one) to first ...

Re: Forza Shocks
If the shocks can be taken apart then you can cut the spring.3mm is a very small amount. That amount could be simply ground off the ends rather than actually cutting the spring. Perhaps that is what he meant? Cutting a spring does have a down side and that is the spring is weaker{spring rate}. Not ...

Fuel Pump recall replacemeent...caution
The weather finally warmed up enough that I could ride my Forza to the dealer to get the fuel pump recall taken care of. Got it back today and was about 1/4 the way home when I looked down and noticed the fuel gauge was indicating empty! I'd brought it in almost full, so they apparently forgot to re...

Re: Forza Shocks
Shock springs can be modified. He said a small amount removed would make a big difference and recommended removing only 3 millimetres then re-installing the shocks to check if the problem is solved. If not then another 3 millimetres could be removed. Be very careful, but if you go too far, you can ...

Re: Strange recall notice
There is a bit of a twitch in the throttle response when entering a slow corner after a decel....touch the throttle just a fraction and the engine gives an unwanted spurt of speed. Fish I've noticed this also. Figure it's a problem with the fuel injection programing...it doesn't smoothly control th...

Re: Forza seat piston
Mine hasn't failed (4800 miles) but it is "weak"...won't hold the seat open against a light wind.

Re: Battery Tender Jr
I put one on the PCX direct to the battery posts but curious how anyone has attached it on the Forza. TIA At the bottom of the front end of the luggage compartment you will find a small panel that you can pop up with a small screwdriver (it has a plastic hinge so it doesn't come completely out). Th...

Re: That seat 'opener damper'
Would it be possible to rig up a "helper spring" to help keep the seat open? Like a coil spring around the damper or by it? Haven't tried it or looked into doing this...yet...as weather has been to cold to venture out into the garage!

Re: Undersea (t) adventure
I agree on the awkwardness of the front hinged seat. A side hinge, like on the Reflex, would give much better access. As far as getting access to the battery for hooking up a battery tender...there's a little access cover in the forward compartment (on my Forza, anyway) that is hinged and snaps in p...

Re: NSS300 Fuel Pump problems
I wonder if alcohol in the gasoline could contribute to these fuel pump problems. My Forza was built July 2013 and I've put on 4700 miles since buying it this past Spring...haven't had any problems (knock on wood!). I've used premium w/o alcohol (according to sign on pump, anyway) almost exclusively...
