Re: "Grinding" noise coming from variator/clutch?

The sound you hear when you spin the wheel with the engine off is basically the final gear or drive or however you like to call it - and it sounds fine to me; you could always drain the oil from the final drive gear, replace it and inspect the oil that comes out. More importantly, did the bike had i...

Re: Brake light issue

I ran an air pump as well on the charge port. It worked fine... untill I tested it to inflate the tyres, then it worked fine for 1 second. As Mel46 stated the fuse was blown. Luckily there were some spare fuses in the battery compartment (look well because I can remember they were a bit hidden away)...

Re: Ordering From Biker Bits.

Be aware that as of 1 July 2021 the EU will implement new VAT regulations when ordering something from outside the EU. More info on: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/vat-e-commerce_en - they make it sound as if its an added bonus for end consumers but in reality it boils down to an...

Re: Vaccine mission

My wife got covid 10 days ago - probably got it from work as she has a job she can't do from home, we do not see anyone except people at work... Been quarantined (both of us) since. From what I've seen it did to her I can't wait to get my vaccine. But probably, due to Europe being slow and cheap a**...

Re: Anyone has or tried dr.Pulley variator?

It did not go well so I went back to stock variator with the other 13.5gr dr pulley sliders i had before. The dr pulley variator came with a different boss as well, I am quite sure I installed all correctly but somehow it felt as if the belt was beeing squeezed by the variator which caused at even v...

Re: Tire recommendation?

So are there other tire choices for the PCX that's more "sport" oriented? Started out with the stock IRCs, swapped them for Michelin City Grips (rode it like that for around 10k kms) - until I had some lateral shifting while driving on a straight road in colder conditions while it was rai...

Re: Met a new friend....

@fish: this made me smile today, thank you! Keep the nice pictures coming. These days most of us can't make memories of distant countries (when living in a small country like Belgium you are limited very fast - especially these days when you live near a border like I do) / travelling experiences or ...

Re: Rollers or Sliders

I swapped the stock rollers on the stock variator to 13.5 gram sliders couple of years ago, during the past 15 000 km my fuel consumption was a steady 2.9 l/100km. I recently changed to 14 gram sliders and my fuel consumption has dropped during the past 1000 km to 2.5l/100km. So it does affect fuel ...

standard clutch lining thickness

Hi, During a routine check of my drive belt, rollers , clutch lining etc... I noticed the clutch lining thickness is now 3.5 mm. The service manual states to replace the lining when it is 2 mm. However, it does not state what the standard thickness should be. I just want to know how many kms I have ...

Re: anybody riding?

Too many people in the hospital;not keeping distance, some walking around without face mask, people coughing... glad I only had to spend 1 hour there for the consultation. Good luck with your surgery. It's done, it was a quick in and out as they really want to minimize the time people are in the ho...

Re: anybody riding?

Those are amazing pictures!!! And yes totally right about docking and toppling :). As long as its on the open waters you can leave it on the side stand and walk around a bit. But when it starts to dock I get back on the saddle, side stand still there and engaging front brake - it gets wobbly at time...

As I said earlier - got a chance to ride today as I had a good day - hooraay. Lots of wind and a bit of rain though but that can't hold me back. Some pictures of what is basically my backyard - highly industrial so not as picturesque as other pictures here  . IMG_20200627_150934_4.jpg IMG_20200...

Re: anybody riding?

10th of July is surgery day, went to see a specialist - so 3 more weeks of pain, 3 to 4 weeks recovery from the surgery. And yes, personally I think our healthcare system is great and I have an additional insurance so even all the medication up to 1 year after the surgery is being paid for. But as y...

I have a grandson stationed in Italy and they are in lockdown right now, and I understand that other countries are following their lead. Indeed it is, even travelling within your own region is ...
