Re: Winter Project
Using the PCX to get to work every day through winter, so I wait until March when the salts gone and I will strip it down, acf50 it, and generally go over anything that needs doing. Got the vstrom stripped at the moment and will change brake fluid, coolant, fork oil, engine oil, seals, bearings, cha...

Re: do Chinese scooters suck?
Before I had the PCX, I ran a Longjia 125 Chinese scooter and used it every day for 2 years on the commute. I sold it for more than I paid but I did look after it on the maintenance side of things. I replaced stator and rectifier (about £25), steering head bearings (£20) and rear hub nut (as it came...

Re: Rear brake system. How to access the front inner mechani
Being honest, I don't. Unless somebody else posts, the best bet is remove the plastic as described above, and you will see which of the hoses runs from the combined brake mechanism down to the front caliper.
Will see if I can find a diagram to help

Re: Rear brake system. How to access the front inner mechani
Remove the screen, remove the black plastic clock shroud beneath the screen, remove the trim which runs above the headlight across the front.
This gives just enough access to adjust the mechanism with some short spanners. Access is still a bit tight but it can be done.

Re: Seeking advice for a long trip (Honda Forza 125cc)
Should be an awesome trip if you avoid motorways. Take a small bottle of oil and top up when needed, take it fairly steady and make sure tyres have decent life left. Service intervals on PCX are 2500 miles (not sure if forza is same) so may be worth a service before setting off. Take a spare spark p...

Re: My PCX and bike history
Just thought the price might be useful for anyone contemplating getting Honda to replace it. To be honest if mine needs replacing I will order the assembly from over your side of the pond and replace it myself. Should have just bought the assembly as I did most of the work regreasing the bearing :D ...

Re: how to start pcx when it wont start
Ok, likely the side stand switch or the kill switch if you have one (we don't get the kill switch here in the UK). Can't think of any other reason for it to suddenly not turn over then be ok. Is the battery fully charged?

Re: My PCX and bike history
Justvuse minenfor town riding Mel. I find its a bit slow for riding out in the countryside and prefer something quicker thatvcan keep up with traffic. So I took the PCX in to Honda for the recall on the top box. They noted that the clutch bearing was slightly noisy when the wheel was turned, so I co...

Cosford is great, but I could spend an entire day there. Duxford is even better and a fair bit closer to London.
Post some pictures of the trip RedBaron.

My PCX and bike history
Had the PCX for a year now but never posted any pictures. Need to take a few more really and I will update the thread as I do anything to the bike. Had quite a few bikes over 30 years riding including a few 125's in my younger days, GPZ750A1, FZR600, GSXR750WW and Yamaha R6. Will dig out some pictur...

Re: Brake Pad Replacement
Main choice is organic or sintered. Organic pads tend to have less stopping power but wear the disc less.
HH rating offers the best stopping power, but you will probably only find these in sintered pad material. I have a set of EBC sintered pads ready to go in.

Re: PCX125 Centre Stand
Thought i would update this. Well I have been using the PCX for the last year commuting. Been used most days come rain or shine. I do an annual thorough check over and I took the stand out to grease the pivot. I can confirm the repair is holding fine, but then it's probably a lot stronger than befor...

Hi, are you sure that you have it on the compression stroke on TdC,were both valve clearances slack, turn the engine 360 degrees and check again. What Lafree said. Are you sure you are setting top dead centre on the compression stroke? You could be setting top dead centre on the exhaust stroke whic...
