Re: Poll the Grom...
I certainly consider the Grom and CBR 125R siblings to the PCX.

Re: Epic snow...no scootin for me
I've heard nothing but good things from Heidenau. They're popular in the dirt bike community.

Oh sorry, wrong number...
I generally shy away from scootering unless the roads are bare. I might get Heidenau four season tires this autumn though.

Re: How bad is residual salt on a dry road?
I personally don't care either. Cars don't rust in Vancouver or the rest of the south coast (Victoria, etc.) and it gets pretty humid in the summer.

Re: How bad is residual salt on a dry road?
I heard salt is more damaging in warm weather. So if you store your scooter in a cold garage, it's fine. Just do a thorough washing in the spring.

What would flatten the battery? An elephant stepping on it? Wouldn't that wreck the rest of the scooter?you you wrote:Flat battery?

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)
Check out Heidenau K58 or K66. Find out which one has sizes for the PCX. For my Vino 125, I'd go with the K58.sendler2112 wrote:Wish I could get winter tires for my PCX in the USA but nobody carries them.

Re: Something is wrong with fuel usage
Likely winter petrol as well as denser air which leads to higher wind drag. This in addition to some of the items already discussed. I wouldn't worry about it. Your fuel consumption will return back to normal. As an aside, Imperial miles are same as US miles. It's the gallon that's different between...

I rode to work for the first time in four weeks. Temperature were at about the freezing mark but roads were bare and dry. Except for the bridge with its shiny road surface, I like left 7 seconds in front of me. I will ride the rest of the week however as weather conditions should allow me to do so. ...

Re: 2016 Forza is here...
Canada has the Forza in red or silver metallic for 2016, like 2015. But Canada only has one colour for the PCX 150 this year -- matte techno silver metallic.
Weird it's the other way around in the USA, one colour for the Forza and two for the PCX 150.

Re: From Honda motorcycles to a Honda scooter
You have not lived until you've done 60 mph on a Vino 125 with 10" wheels on wet roads. :D Good choice though. I don't know if you suffer from gout but scooters are awesome to ride during attacks. I've had four attacks on the left foot and operating a car clutch pedal or bike gear shift is just...

Re: Taking your test. Or not.
An MP3 can't be crashed you say?
While you get that extra bit of stability from having two front wheels, there are inherent problems from having three tire tracks instead of one.
And a tilt system that takes getting used to when doing simple things:

Used? Is that miles per US or Imperial gallons?

Re: How many miles do you guys have so far?
I put about 4000 miles on my old Yamaha BWS (Zuma) 49 in 6 months. A bit slower with my current Vino 125, 2000 miles in 3.5 months although 2 weeks out waiting for a new tire due to a blow out and a week of snow didn't help. Scooters and motorcycles are meant to be ridden. Almost 1200 miles in 28 mo...

Re: how many km did you change your pcx engine oil?
It's 4000 km/2500 miles OR 6 months, whichever comes first anyway. I'm scared of low mileage bikes for that reason, a majority of people never seem to take the time interval seriously. Oil is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture. Oil in an engine can absorb moisture over time and that moisture ca...
