Re: Rear LEDs?

I forgot to follow up on this thread. To cut a long story short, I got the GIVI LED brake light kit connected up and working, albeit the supplied connectors were a little temperamental and needed packing with rubber washers and balled up paper etc. to keep them in position, but kept failing to stay ...

Re: Headlight Upgrades

Thanks for the opinions everyone. I think I am going to upgrade temporarily to some higher-performing incandescent bulbs as a cheap way forward, then see how I feel about a HID upgrade after I've discovered what's under the front fairing and how easy it is or not to get at.

Re: LED stop lights on Givi V47 - wiring to Forza

As an update to my dodgy topbox brake light wiring: my auxiliary brake lights stopped working altogether after a while. I finally got around to doing something about it, and found that due to my constantly having to remove and re-seat the lower spring-loaded connector of GIVI's own LED brake light w...

Re: Headlight Upgrades

Yeah.. I'm not averse to HID kits per se, as I had a good result fitting one on my old BMW (which had a proper glass headlight lens), but like I said, after the mechanic at my local Honda dealer kind of warned me off them for the all-plastic Forza, I was wondering if LEDs might be better as they run...

Headlight Upgrades

I was wondering if anyone else has found the headlights to be somewhat inadequate on dark rural roads. I certainly find that, here in the UK in winter. Riding with full beams helps, but with a constant trickle of oncoming traffic, that's not really practical. Previously I installed an H7 HID upgrade...

Re: Rear LEDs?

Those damn GIVI brake light LEDs are not working any more. The connectors that sit inside the topbox don't seat particularly well, so that when the lid is closed, they may or may not actually touch. Just thought I would update you. This has been the case since installation, but it was cured by packi...

Re: LED stop lights on Givi V47 - wiring to Forza

I'd be very interested to know how you got on with yours, if you do figure out the wiring. I got my dealer to connect up the wiring from my Givi B47 Blade to my brake light circuit in the end, because I could neither figure out how to get at the rear light cluster or it's wiring, and I was already b...

Re: Workshop Manuals

I haven't had sufficient activity on this forum to qualify for that privilege yet. My dealer has wired in the supplemental brake lights on my Givi B47 topbox while the Forza was in for it's first (600m) service. They had to take the whole back off to implement the fuel pump recall anyway, so they di...

Re: Workshop Manuals

Not sure about accessing the rear lighting wiring but appears like removal of all that is removed to access the fuel pump area?..ie the seat/luggage box and some panels. as I say if I had your email address I could try my it skills and photo some pages showing panels removal and send on...if that w...

Re: Rear LEDs?

Thanks Fish. I'd never heard of Bestem before I joined this forum, and I thought I knew a lot about biking brands. It seems to be a US-only manufacturer, I think. My other ride is a Vespa PX200E which just has a stainless rack to which I secure things with a few bungee chords, but it gets wet. So yo...

Re: Workshop Manuals

I was looking for a way to get access to the lights both front and back. On the back, I want to splice in the additional brake lights on my top box, and at the front, I want to install a HID upgrade kit to replace the current OEM bulbs. So far, my experience of fitting the taller screen and the top ...

Re: Rear LEDs?

Not a rude question at all - that's why we're here, isn't it? To share information and experience. I did a fair bit of shopping around on the internet. Amazon and ebay are usually my first port of call, but the cheapest place I found by far was http://www.fc-moto.de in Germany. Most places were quot...

Re: Workshop Manuals

Iceman Cannot remember his companys name but he provided an excellent service and the manual is great..Of course its a USA one and not a UK / Euro one ...not a lot of difference I suppose but there are some differences......the USA Forzas have a hand brake ...(for example) He made a mistake on his ...

Re: Rear LEDs?

I have just installed a Givi Monokey rack and a Givi B47 Blade on my Forza300. I also bought the optional brake light kit (LED) for Givi Blade and have installed that into the box and the reciprocating connector shoe onto the Monokey rack. That's where I ran out of knowledge and confidence to finish...

Re: Workshop Manuals

That link posted by AustinPCX _IS_ a Honda Forza 300 service manual. I was wondering if anyone knows of a UK supplier, though? The estimate on shipping and tax for that $30 manual to the UK is $25!!

Re: Denali SoundBomb Compact Air Horn on FORZA

Hi, That horn looks identical to a Stebel Nautilus Compact Air Horn. I installed a Stebel inside the front fairing of my Vespa GT200L myself, following a wiring diagram taken from a Vespa forum. Mounting wasn't easy, but in the end, I simply used a few plastic cable ties to fix it to a vertical sect...
