Funny stuff.
Yesterday I passed a Tesla S on Skyline Blvd. south of San Francisco. He looked a bit startled.
I suspect I looked a bit silly....
63mph! Yowza!

Re: Top speed
About 64mph....hard to tell though. There are very few level places in San Francisco where you can open it up. And Bay Area freeways are no place for the lil' PCX...

Re: First relatively long ride: impressions
Spencer at greatdaytoride.com did a fine job of modifying the seats on both of my Triumphs.

2019 with 700 miles. For getting around San Francisco there's nothing handier!

FWIW, I've had consistently good luck with JB Weld. At this point it might be worth a try if you have all the chunks.

Re: PCX Vario cover corrosion?
We have similar problems with salt air and blowing sand here in the Western part of San Francisco. Some folks will have the part media blasted and then powder coated. Don't know if it would be worth the money, but it works.

Oil drain plug
Does anyone know the dimensions for the PCX drain plug? It's a 2019, though I don't think that should matter. Looking for diameter and pitch, primarily. Thinking of installing a Fumoto valve.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Where do you park your ride ?
Sits in a locked garage. They'll have to go through my PCX to get to my Bonneville...
There is a relatively new PCX parked at the curb about a block from me. Gets used frequently, has no locks on it and, in over a year has never been messed with. Go figure.

Re: So I completely screwed up and stripped the oil bolt hou
Did it meself draining the gear oil from the bevel drive on my R75/5 many, many years ago. I still remember the feeling of that bolt suddenly spinning free. As I recall, they helicoiled it. I was tired, irritated and should not have been near a wrench

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?
I'm 71.
Got my first scooter at 15 (Rockford Silver Pigeon...rare bike and for good reason) and after that motorcycles only, until the PCX. It's a nifty and useful little thing, not too engaging, but very useful in my urban environment.
For the weekends there's my Triumph Bonneville.

Re: New member, with a question
I don't do freeways on my '19 PCX150, but on arterial highways it'll cruise all day at 55-60. I consider 65mph to be about practical tops. Mine is not fully broken in yet...

Re: New Member, New PCX
Thanks! There is a local dealer that I will be using for the first service. The 600 mile service for the 2019s has changed far as I can tell. Much different from the 2018s. All they do is check the idle speed and change the engine oil, according to the manual. Already changed the oil at 300 miles, a...

New Member, New PCX
Just purchased a new PCX150! It's got about 400 miles on it now, and seems to be a great answer to some questions and needs I didn't know I had... My little adventure started about 6 weeks ago while I was stuck in traffic in downtown San Francisco. The engine on my motorcycle was getting warm, and s...
