Re: Hello, my name is Ozzy, I am from Ohio, got PCX 150 in A

Honda advertised that the 150 seat was redesigned to be more comfortable than the 125 seat. I would expect the seats to be interchangeable though they say they are different. Likewise any aftermarket seat should be usable on either bike.

Re: New PCX top speed???

Fit would be near the top of my list if looking for a new econobox; truly a remarkable car. We had a 5-speed Civic for 12 years. Best car we ever owned. Roomier on the inside than you would think, consistently excellent gas mileage, surprisingly high crash scores, and remarkably reliable; what’s not...

Is there an aftermarket seat that has a lower profile?

Forgive me. I shouldn’t have been so general to say “four-wheel” vehicle.

Supposing I bought gas in Imperial gallons, I should have said we get 59.5 mpg. So you’re saying your Nissan, which is HALF the weight of a Prius gets worse gas mileage?

Pity.

Yeah right... Now tell me what four-wheel vehicle you're driving that gets more than 49 mpg.

Put up or shut up.

Re: New PCX top speed???

We have a 2010 Prius (Gen 3) and are getting 49.6 mpg ytd. …Which is why I can’t get a bigger scooter. I can’t reconcile getting lousy gas mileage compared to our car!

Re: New PCX top speed???

63 mpg is great for the automatic transmission, but not very good for the manual. The early Insight with a manual got stellar mpg. Check this out... http://www.fueleconomy.gov/mpg/MPG.do?action=browseList2&make=Honda&model=Insight Note the superior numbers for the manual transmission models....

To say that Craig Vetter is in any way responsible fo the success of the Goldwing is akin to saying that Giuseppe Visenzi is responsible for the success of the PCX. ... guess you had to be here... Vetter was a household name among motorcycle enthusiasts; particularly those interested in highway tou...

Re: Nose up (seat)

I’m supposing any aftermarket seat will have a different pitch to it. I heard the 150 seats were adjusted at a straighter angle than the 125s were. You could replace the seat so you get a good watertight seal, and a more comfortable ride. I’ve never felt that the seat on my 150 was angled down too s...

Re: 214mpg on a scooter?

If he doubled gas mileage by adding the aerodynamic shell, and the PCX averages 92mpg, I could expect at least 180mpg on my bike if so altered, no?

Re: What is your cage?

Over here if you have a full PCV licence it counts for any size of bus. So if you did a PCV test in a 30 seater you could then jump straight in a 150 seater bendybus. PCV? We call it CDL. Driver licenses are issued by states, so rules vary according to where you live. There is also a standard of re...

Re: What is your cage?

gn2, typically rear engine chassis are used for larger capacity busses carrying more than 50 passengers. The smaller busses commonly use a front engine chassis. Our bus has 30 seats, and is one of the larger front-engine chassis used. This chassis is also common for school busses which carry more pa...

This is the first Honda I rode in. My best bud's dad bought it new in about 1970. Even as just a kid, I don't remember the back seat being a comfortable place.

I carry keys for four vehicles on my key ring. The bus belongs to the church. Wife and I drive down to the projects to pick up kids for Sunday School. The van is my multi-purpose vehicle which is boring enough to send me on a search for something funner to drive - hence, a motorbike! The car is my w...

I just use the kill switch if I'm at a long light or waiting for a train to substitute for the lack of the idle stop feature. The biggest problem I have at traffic lights are the road sensors not recognizing my weight if I am first at the light... so I have to make a right turn and then do a U-turn...

I’ve been told Honda calibrates speedos to be 8% optimistic everywhere except in the US where they are calibrated spot on.

It is pointless to compare top speeds if we are using different speedo calibrations. You fellas on the other side of the pond just THINK you’re going faster than us.

So sorry to hear this!

I’m wondering how much less painful it might have been if you had hit the drunk and let the drunk hit the asphalt. Or sit on the drunk while he slides down the asphalt. Did they even notice when you went down?

Re: Burgman 650 rider adds a "new" PCX to the stable

The dealer where I bought my bike said historically black scooters sell way faster than red, so their initial order for 150s was 6 black and 2 red. They can’t figure why red is outselling black so fast. I had to wait in line to get red, while black bikes sat idle in the showroom. Check out the 150s ...
