Re: TYRE CHANGE

IMO IRCs are rubbish when it gets below 10 Celsius (and a few people on here and a few magazine´s that have tested them will agree with me). I have lost the front on a cold roundabout at 15mph once, I nearly came off in an emergency stop with the bike wobbling to a halt from 60 mph instead of giving...

Re: Came off bike :(

Which tyres do you have on your scoot? The more grip, the less it will lock up (although if you try hard enough you can lock any tyre).

Re: Tesco Momentum Super Unleaded

Whenever I see a Tesco station, I have to think about some melted engines back in 2007: http://www.petrolprices.com/blog/tesco-apologises-for-contaminated-fuel.html Sainsburys is the only supermarket fuel I risk my bikes and cars to have because its the same as BP with a few less additives (but stil...

Re: Should i add reflective tape to my helmet?

I have these on all of my helmets: http://www.reflectivedecals.com/arai1a.htm There are countries where reflectors on helmets are law, it doesn´t annoy anybody. Your helmet is the only thing you are going to use on all of your rides, as jackets and trousers are inter changeable so the best bet to us...

YSS G Euro shocks

Hello,

I want to go for the YSS G Euro shocks but I just ordered a 120 sized rear tyre. Are the YSS shocks any wider then the stock ones? Will my wider tyre fit?

Thanks!

Re: Upgrading the rear wheel to a thicker tire?

I ordered a pair of K66 snowtex, I saw some very good reviews about them even in dry conditions. I don´t ride the little scooter much anyway hence I am not worried about how quick they will wear. I want the all weather grip. Every tyre is a compromise but technologies evolve. Only ten years ago I wo...

Re: Nathan's Law

There are many reasons why cage drivers don´t see motorbikers or cyclists. One of the main reasons is that the human brain can´t judge the distance as well to a single light or slim profile coming straight at you as well as two headlights and a wide car. Plus, its a matter of contrasting colours (he...

Re: Nathan's Law

If I wasn´t allowed to filter through traffic, I wouldn´t be riding a bike at all I think. I only got my bike licence when I moved to London and so far it has saved me thousands of hours and British Pounds in train tickets.... But even if it wasn´t legal, there is also the case of personal injury cl...

Re: Keeping and completely modifying low mileage 2012 stock

djcat - upping the cc's I gather your on an A2 or full licence? I would love to move away from the basic CBT, or at least get an A1/A2, but even an A2 looks to be about £600! I have a full licence for around seven years now. Have owned bikes with literally 10 times the power and three times the wei...

Re: Keeping and completely modifying low mileage 2012 stock

Cheers guys for the feedback, great to have more sources for the parts. Based on this forum and also some others, I guess that the 170cc Takegawa kit is more robust then the 164c Yuminashi one so thats the one I am going for. Will also go for the higher final drive, YSS shocks and new tyres plus a d...

Re: Speeding Letter

No idea why people find it difficult to stick to a speed limit...instead of just thinking about where you can get away with it, try thinking about that child you didn´t see coming stepping out from between parked cars. If you can stop before you hit it, I bet you will be within the speed limit.

Re: Keeping and completely modifying low mileage 2012 stock

Sorry, I didn´t realize my details weren´t filled in. Am in the UK and my scooter is a 2012 PCX with about 1800 miles on it. I can´t be bothered to a) get less money for such well kept ride and b) go through all that hazzle to sell it and buy another one. Its in as new condition and I think that wit...

Ah, forgot to post that I will also change the tyres as I hate the original IRCs. I consider that a performance mod.

Keeping and completely modifying low mileage 2012 stock PCX

Hello everyone, I´ve been on here previously and even mentioned that I would sell the PCX because I had a big bike that I was using every day. Ironically, I just sold that one and still have the PCX, which is still in the garage with not many more miles on it then it had a year before. The wife just...

Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania Poland, Germany etc or.... South Santander, France, Italy, Albaina, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany etc ... Or finally a tour our the UK coast...would be so much more laid back but less interesting... Any other suggestions?...
